Hamburger Heaven

I went here for my birthday. It was a wonderful time and a great meal. Best onion rings I've ever had, hamburger was perfect. Draught beer was delicious. Really enjoyed it.

This is the BEST burger in town. It is common knowledge on this side of town the Red Coat Tavern is the best. It is ALWAYS busy and there is a clear reason for that!

Came here after the zoo with some family. Got the chicken tender appetizers for the kids that they liked, a few sauce options for those which is always good. Main dishes came out and they were glorious, I got a burger my fiancé a turkey burger and we were both blown away. Pepperjack cheese has a kick to it, delicious.... More

Red Coat Tavern is one of those places that suffers from its popularity. In the evening it's always crowded and parking is a challenge. However the food makes it all worth it, a visit home is never complete without a Red Coat burger. My best advise is to go in the afternoon when it's not as busy.

We had lunch here today around 2PM. Got seated promptly. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and very well mannered. Place was very clean and atmosphere was nice. We both had burgers with fries. Burgers were one of the best we ever had and cooked to order, fries were hot, orders were 100% accurate, condiments on the side , etc...... More

The food is good but the service is always bad. It is required that you valet your car unless you park on the street which annoys me. Its always busy with large groups which makes it really hard to move around. Its dark and the bathrooms are always a mess. The only reason we ever go there is because the... More

This small place is a great hang out spot. Always overcrowded due partly to the hype. Burgers are their trademark, and they are decent but I have had better. The burgers are highly customizable and good size. The drinks.......made strong and good sized for the price. Many craft beers and such. It a good place to go every now and... More

It's not often you can visit a restaurant and get a burger that actually tastes like a REAL burger. So amazingly, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, perfectly cooked, with a tasty bun and toppings that don't overshadow the taste of REAL hamburger. The onion rings are also incredible. Super friendly and attentive service as well. This place just wins all around! The atmosphere... More

This place has the best burger EVER when you go there, make sure to try the piedmontese certified meat.. it is toooo yummy and healthy in the same time. When i used to live in Detroit, this was my favorite place, i used to go there every week, moved out of Michigan and still didn't find burger as good. Onion... More

Burgers are awesome! Some people rate them the best in Detroit Area otherwise in the top 3! Onion Rings and Clam Chowder are definitely #1 In my book. Service is always great. This place doesn't need to change a thing! Enjoy!!
