Wheat & Rye - Romulus, MI

If you are staying overnight at a hotel near the Detroit Airport, this is a good place to go for well-prepared bar food (munchies, sandwiches, etc.). A good selection of beers, including some microbrews. Service was very good. Portions are very generous.

This place is absolutely disgusting! It made me sick the first time I ate there. I will never go back!

The service was great, the food was good just don't think you are going to eat one sandwich by yourself. Their sandwiches are huge! We split the corned beef sandwich and it was okay. The french fries are thick and that is the way I like them. The jalapeno corn bread they give you before your meal is real good.... More

Went there on the recommendation of the clerk at the hotel we we staying at nearby. Server was GREAT she was quick, took all 8 of our orders without writing them down and shared with us how large the portions were so we didnt order too much. Inexpensive as well....make you realize how many other places are ripping you off!... More

Had a Reuben sandwich and could barely finish a quarter of it. Large servings. Not a large selection of alcoholic beverages.

Not very many places to eat near the DTW hotel area, so we tried this place. It is very loud and mainly full of locals. The price is very inexpensive and the portions are HUGE, but the food isn't that great, and the service is very slow, and not very friendly.

I loved the food but I disliked how compacted we were at our table and people bumping into our table. Also the tables are very close to the door so there was a lot of cold air coming through.

Came with a large group (over 50) - while we taxed the servers, they rose to the occasion! The food was excellent, although the servings were way too large.

When traveling to Michigan for the Army Reserves we always eat at Wheat and Rye. Great service by the staff, plenty of TVs to watch what ever sport your into. But their sandwiches and fish dinners are the best I've ever had. Be warned the sandwiches are not for the meek these are Manwiches. 1/2 pound of what ever meat... More

The service is ok. The sandwiches are huge. The biggest one is called shoebox sandwiches. My sons loved it my daughter and I gave it a ok. Not the best food and basically a bar atmosphere. Kinda pricey to take us all there. They give you so much but it doesn't heat well for the next day so you basically... More
