Good choice at DTW

The best burger in the terminal. Service is clumsy but OK, and prices are a bit high. But I have to admit that the burgers and the tortilla soup are worth eating.

We had an hour before our flight boarded so we stopped to grab a bite. Tables were full so we sat at the bar and we each had a beer and soup and village salad. They were as good as the Max and Ermas we go to outside the airport and I dont think the prices were much higher. Our... More

We decided to hit Max and Erma's for breakfast while waiting for our flight because Chili's was closed and being renovated for a new restaurant. The breakfast menu was pretty simple - I chose the egg sandwich with a glass of milk. The milk never came, the waitress was indifferent and I was still quite hungry after the pricey so-so... More

Max and Erma's is a very good "sit down" choice at the Delta terminal. The menu is large and varied. We liked the pickle chip appetizer. Service was reasonably quick.

We had plenty of time to kill as we had missed a connection the day before and weren't flying out until 6pm or later so we came in for a late lunch. My 8 year old wanted a place with pasta and there aren't many places in the airport with pasta on the menu. The restaurant seemed popular with adults... More

There are not many restaurants inside US airports that are worth the effort but I found this one to be a bit of an exception. Usually, in places like this, the service is maddening because you have a time limit for your flight and that accentuates any exasperation with wait times. But I found the service here to be quite... As you all know, when you fly these days on an early morning flight your first thoughts on arrival are food. When I arrived at Detroit Airport, I was in luck, Max & Erma's was right accross my gate. I entered sat, was greeted by a very pleasent waitress and ordered coffee, bacon and eggs; over, white toast and under... More

Husband ordered burger and my daughter and I shared the sampler appetizer. The nachos was GROSS and inedible---just dumped ona plate with a bunch of junk thrown on top. The potato skins were bad---very lazily done---a piece of partly cooked bacon (not bacon bits) slapped on a skin with cheese. The chicken finger were nothing special. The service was bad---in... We had a long lay over in Detroit airport and chose to eat at Max and Erma's. One of us had the tortilla soup, which was excellent and the rest of us tried salads which were also great. Filled the gap.
