Good Food--Great History

We have been to Henry's several times over the years....it's not any better than it has been--and is not worse. We were there for Italian Nite....great pizzas, salad bar, etc.....chicken is great. Service is very good....and it really represents what Rockland used to be....can you imagine a... read more

The lady in charge is abrupt and unfriendly. My wife and I went on "Build your own pizza" night. The lady, and I am generous, who is making the pizza base in the kitchen should not be allowed out of the kitchen. We ordered the salad bar, iceberg lettuce and some items that double as pizza toppings. We drove a... More

Not a fancy place by the looks, but the food, WOW, the variety, we went for the Sunday Smorgasbord, WOW the variety, everything was fresh and hot, there isn't anywhere else in the Copper Country to compare, we drove over 60 miles to get there, well worth it, Would definitely go back for Sunday, and supposedly their fish fry on... It's a hole in the wall kind of a place but boy their food is to die for. (Literally since most of their food are fried! Hahahaha) Seriously, their Friday night buffet was worth the 15-mile drive from Ontonagon where we were staying. I was skeptical at first since I didn't see many places to eat while in UP, but... We went to the Friday night smorgasbord dinner and OMG did we eat, and eat, and eat. The place was packed with snowmobilers who were all very friendly. We had a great tiem listening to all the stories and enjoying the food. If you like out of the way bars with great bar food check out Henrys!

I was recommended by locals in Ontonagon Michigan to go over to Rockland for their Friday night all you can eat fish fry and smorgasbord. Nestled in a tiny little town that you might miss if you blink, is a family owned place that's been in operation from the late 1890's. The ancestors currently running it are in their 70's.... More

We had the buffet dinner @ $14.95. Such a huge selection of choices and desserts. Great value for money and a top friendly service.

Had heard about "Henry's" 36 in pizza; guests were from 10 hours away; had talked about this specialty - ordered it - he wouldn't make it. Don't know why - were just told sometimes he's that way. We were an appropriately acting, paying group, and had planned on this for a long time. Will never go there again.
