Almost as good as Muer's

This was our second visit to the restaurant. We were favorably impressed the first time, but waited for a second visit to write this review. It has been rumored that this chain of Seafood restaurants was recently acquired by the Muer chain of restaurants. The decor, service, and food selections... read more

The food is really good but the service is horrible. The restaurant was not busy at all and the service was unbelievably slow. My dad ordered lobster and we didn't find out until 45 mins later that it wasn't even available. Slow to refill drinks. I will say they were polite, but that didn't make up for the rest of... More

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM. Upon arrival at the proper time, we were told there would be a 70 minute wait. I asked for the manager, she told us our table would be ready in 10 minutes. It was closer to 20. We ordered drinks for which we waited over 20 minutes - 2 wines - we had... More

The waiter was not very good, brought bread and did not bring silverware until we asked, it may have been an off night, this is not our complaint. Calamari was tough and greasy. We ordered and the waiter said it would be an $11 upcharge to switch shrimp to steak on the TRIO, then he came back and said no... More

We had a group of four, we had artichoke dip (it was very good) first than our entrees-beer battered fish and chips for two people pasta with seafood for another and lobster mac and cheese for the other. Everyone loved the food and our waitress was very good. This was a excellent dining experience. I have been to this restaurant... More

Mitchell's is a great seafood restaurant. It has a wide variety of fresh fish and combination plates. Also you can have the fish prepared in several different styles. My personal favorite is blackened and then served in the Shanghai broth. Another great thing is the price is reasonable for good seafood. After dining here and other good seafood places, I'll... We are frequent customers of the Mitchell's in Birmingham but we needed to be in Rochester for an event so we thought we would have dinner at the Mitchell's out there. What a mistake that was. The waiters at Mitchell's all wear white shirts. I noticed when our waitress walked over her shirt had a brown smear on the right... More

A very plush restaurant with a huge menu of fresh seafood. It is rather pricey but well worth a visit. The wait staff is very efficient.

We eat at Mitchell's all the time. They have a great happy hour with $5 cocktails and apps that can be made a meal. Sometimes we get a table to take our time and indulge with fish or tenderloin. Great service, good bread - food is perfect. Ask for the "back room" if you have a group of 12 -... More

I will definitely return for their Happy Hour. The appetizer choices are wonderful. Our party had the shrimp, margarita flatbread, potstickers, and fish tacos. Each was delicious and value-priced. Though I did not care for their selection of Happy Hour wines, I found there to be a wide selection of excellent wines on their regular wine list .
