Festive Mexican in Downtown Rochester

Enjoyed a nice meal during the holiday season. We were there to celebrate a birthday and since it was the actual birthday they picked up one of our entrees. The food was very good as everyone in our 4 person party enjoyed their meals. Service was very nice, but slow due to the volume in the... read more

The food is mediocre, the service is poor and they are very expensive for what you get! As I mentioned if you want good food and fairly priced, drive to Lake Orion and go to the Sagebrush Cantina!

The place is nice on the Rochester main street. The plates are quite big and tasting. This not a real Mexican food but it is good. Not so cheap.

My wife and I ate here last weekend, and we were very underwhelmed. We thought the decor looked great from outside, and the decor wasn't great inside. The service was mediocre, and the food was worse. We asked what the specialties were, and our server recommended the table side guac. And the enchilada. We had both and they were incredibly... More

I've been to Rojo on a few occasions and usually have a decent experience. Tonight, however, a friend talked us into going for Taco Tuesday, which sounded like a good time. From the moment we sat down, things were different. We waited over twelve minutes for anyone to even say a word to us. Twelve minutes... and then only because... More

We had dinner here for the first time this past Tuesday night. Very nice ambience and a pleasant place to have a meal. Complimentary chips and salsa are one of the best I ever had. Tableside guacamole was delicious. My husband's chicken burrito was good, my shrimp & steak fajitas were also good (shrimp excellent, steak a little too tough,... More

I wouldn't choose this restaurant over the many other good choices in the immediate vicinity except it's pretty large, can accommodate big groups and has a fun Mexican atmosphere. Perfect place to grab a drink while viewing the Christmas lights. Lots of windows...good people watching. We just had drinks so can't comment on food, but the place was clean service... More

Good Mexican food, nothing exceptional. Price was average, service was average. Pretty loud atmosphere, hard to hear

First, Rochester, MI is very busy this time of year with all the businesses participating in the "Light Show." With that said, didn't take too long to get a table for two. The waitress was very friendly. Got us drinks and took our order. Didn't see her again until we were done. There is plenty of other wait staff to... More

Great atmosphere and food choices! Never had anything bad there yet! $9.99 Fajita Wednesday is a great choice or $5.oo dollar jumbo margaritas on Thursday works too. The table side guacamole is also great because you can get order as spicy as you want it or not. There is not a bad thing I can say about this restaurant. the... More
