Well don't look for healthy here

Lots of stuff on the menu, most of it is deep fried, or loaded with cheese etc. We were there on a D.J. trivia night and the place was packed. Very noisy difficult to talk. Our server was on top of her game , very attentive, even tho she was swamped. The floors( rugs) are pretty grubby, makes me... read more

If you come to Gizzard City come for one thing; gizzards. The best gizzards you will ever have. They have a varied menu with lots of great choices but the gizzards are definitely what sets them apart. I don't know what sort of alchemy they use to get them so tender but they are extraordinarily tender. My wife had The... More

First off you can park a few semis behind the place. Has 3 different sides to business restaraunt, bar, and I think lunch counter. I ordered take out the worker was very helpful answering my questions. The gizzards come in different spices, they fry them in more of a batter like sweet and sour chicken. The gizzards I had at... My Girlfriend and I went because of Guy Fieri visit on Diners, Drive-in and Dives.. I wanted to try the fried Cheeseburger.. The cheeseburger was ok, I also had the fried meatballs and they were good.. My girlfriend had the gizzards, she said they were alright..

Gizzard are not as good as momma's but they do have a lot of different flavors. About anything deep fried even hamburgers. This place is different but I wouldn't recommend eating there to often fried food is good but heart attack on a bun will get ya.

I eat here occasionally, great gizzards and good service. It's your typical neighborhood bar. Good food.

The menu boasts all kinds of foods you can't find in a city bar. Indeed, it is a special place with the kind of small-town charm you see in movies. The gizzards are great and I hope to try some of the many deep-fried desserts they offer.

We have been thinking about going here since seeing the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode, and I jokingly suggested we meet friends there, and they jumped at the chance. So we met up at this diner (or is it a dive?) and found a cozy seat in a corner table. The wait staff is very attentive and paid immediate attention... More

When the annual Gizzard Fest is NOT going on you get seated in the old part of the bar/restaurant. It is very old, the seats are torn and everything is sticky. If you are able to get past that, the food is really good. We all got different items, I had the deep fried chili cheese dog and it was... More

After seeing the Triple D episode on Joe's Gizzard City years ago it was a must stop after recently moving to western Michigan. As one who always looks for the local eatery when traveling, I really wanted to like Joe's but left disappointed (and a bit dyspeptic). We had no problem with the atmosphere or service - Joe's is a bar...
