Yummy

First let me say this is in the historic gas light district so parking can be a challenge (which I particularly notice as my mom uses a walker and can't walk far. I was able to drop her off in front and drive around). The restaurant is beautiful. My mom was seated right away. The wait staff is... read more

We spent an evening with friends looking to treat ourselves to something a bit more upscale than most of the area's dining options. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with a great view of Little Traverse Bay. The kitchen offers a nice variety of dishes designed to accommodate most any palate, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everyone in... More

I was surprised that there weren't more restaurants located on the water in Petoskey. Actually, I was surprised that there weren't more restaurants period...let alone restaurants with positive reviews. I scoured my options for a place that served whitefish (which I didn't think would be that difficult to find Up North) and came across Whitecaps. Yes, I ordered the whitefish... More

Enjoyed dinner with friends and family during restaurant week in May. You cannot beat the view. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay! Magnificent. We all ate off the specialty menu and enjoyed our meals immensely. I'm not a huge fan of lobster but went for the lobster macaroni and cheese and wanted to lick the bowl clean! Delicious! The... I picked Whitecaps for a lunch meeting - they had emailed about a pan sauteed perch special and it sounded like it would fit with my "win by losing" diet. WOW was I pleased! Very reasonably priced and so delicious - it was a perfect amount of food and the fish was beautifully prepared - so tender and flavorful. People... More

I was with my family and had wonderful food. The steaks and fish were wonderful, the salads great. I love the different sauces and flavors they put together as they are always delicious. We have eaten there several times and have recommended it to many friends and family. Desserts were heavenly and the cocktails are always great! Service was wonderful!

My husband and I ate here for Valentines Day. He made a reservation and they talked up their special Prix Fix for the evening. I was so excited because they had lobster tail as one of the entrees. We were seated at a great table but our waitor didn't get to us for close to 10 minutes, but that was... More

My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch (2pm). We were the only people in the restaurant, so I am assuming they are more of a dinner place. Do starters, I ordered the chili and cornbread, and he had the lobster bisque. Both were good, just not great. For entrees we had the flatbread on special and the... More
