Good choice

My wife and I were the first in for lunch service. The waitress seemed new but did a good job. Over all experience was nice interior and good food. I had a turkey and fried green tomato sandwich. It was kinda lacking something in my opinion but was nice. My wife however had their specialty lasagna... read more

We were ready to share a wonderful restaurant experience w/our friends. My husband & I had eaten there a couple times before--it had been delicious. The four of us were seated in a partially empty dining room. That's where we sat for 20 min. No one even came to serve us water. The place wasn't busy at all. After 15... More

The General Manager treated us like kings. Our party of 12 was treated to a 2nd floor table with a great view. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed but the food was great. They allowed us to bring our own wine with a minimal corkage fee. The walleye and whitefish were awesome.

The drinks were fabulous! The calamari and mussels we're unique and delicious. Our server was very sweet and charming. The crab stuffed whitefish was the best meal I've had in a long time. And the view of Little Traverse Bay is amazing! I will be back again!

We were looking for a place with comfortable, spacious seating that had a low noise level. The night we were there we also got professional attention and excellent food. As I say, a restaurant is what it is. Depending on what your mood is, a restaurant experience can vary widely. With that in mind, it was what I was wanting.... More

Reservations got us a table overlooking the bay. We chose the Wente reisling wine that was great and reasonably priced at $28. Opted to share a starter of calamari. One suggestion would be to have the saucy liquid kept on the side rather than poured over the crispy batter which made it soggy. However, the dish was still tasty. We... More

Family/friends visited Whitecaps today for our biannual visit. For the first time we were greeted by immature, rude, young hosts. They were quick to ask if we had a reservation even though the restaurant was empty. If I were the owner of Whitecaps, their employment would be short. They clearly do not understand their role. Walmart probably trains better. My... More

We parked in front of this restaurant and wondered what would be cool about it since we could only see dining along the street. We decided to chance it and were we surprised!!! They have a patio (that you cannot see) that overlooks the lake. Great spot for a lunch and a glass of wine. I had the lasagna -... More

The view was great, the food excellent, the server very friendly. We shared a flatbread appetizer, which was delicious, I had wonderful fish. We will definitely go back.

Lovely establishment with great views of the lake but food is not great. Very pricey for the quality of food.
