City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven

We were just in Petoskey with our friends. We wanted a nice dinner. The hotel we stayed at told us about this place! OMG where do I start? Upon arrival, the charm in this old building! The staff was so friendly! The service was Great! The food? Again, OMG, the 4 of us ordered steaks and salads! I would highly... More

we had an average dinner, however it was disturbed by a very loud party the entire time. The party must've slowed down the service as is took a long time to get our food and bill. There were a lot of neat choices on the menu. My son's lasagne was the best choice. My tuna was dry. My daughters spaghetti... More

Ok, I will begin by saying that I very rarely come out of a restaurant absolutely thrilled with everything about the visit, meal, service and atmosphere. I am not overly picky or anything theres just usually something that isn't up to standards for me. With that said, I loved absolutely everything about our lunch trip to the City Park Grill!!!!!... Extensive craft beer & wine list. Beautiful interior featuring tin ceiling, intricately hand carved wood. We stopped in for a drink, but would say the restaurant is more for dining. Stopped in on a Sunday which features Happy Hour all day: $1.00 off drinks, 1/2 off appetizers. Staff offered free hot bisquit w/butter. Wait staff friendly. Establishment clean. Menu is... More

I am a huge Ernest Hemingway fan. When I hear this was a place he frequented when he was alive, I decided to check it out. The atmosphere in the bar area is excellent, the food is very good and the service was very good. Price was moderate.

We have been coming up to Petoskey for years for a family ski trip. We always go to City part on Sunday nights. They have great food and drink specials. This year we had 9 people and ordered various appetizers. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
