City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven

Fun & Friendly

Great meal, nice service and fun to go with friends. The specials and the featured wines make it nice to go back over and over. The interior is a very large old wooden bar and stays in keeping with the historic nature of Petoskey's Gas Light district. Charming, kind of loud, great fresh... read more

What a wonderful experience! The greeter at the door was warm and friendly, our waitress was very helpful at steering us to lighter fare for lunch. I would recommend the spinach vegetable roll-up, delicious! Not to mention the warm biscuits given to everyone when seated. The young man who seated us noticed me admiring the wall pictures and shared the... More

I probably don't have what one would call a "refined" palette, but the flavors in the three course meal I had last week at the City Park Grill were spectacularly vibrant and varied. Our server was a memorably warm and hospitable man: Seth. The meal was entirely memorable.

After reading an article but this restaurant that a friend of mine sent me, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Food and wine were excellent. Service was very good. Would definitely dine here again.

This is the third time I've had the experience of dining at this historic and excellent restaurant. By all means, try the menu specials and if you like beer, try one of their speciality draft items.

We were just in Petoskey with our friends. We wanted a nice dinner. The hotel we stayed at told us about this place! OMG where do I start? Upon arrival, the charm in this old building! The staff was so friendly! The service was Great! The food? Again, OMG, the 4 of us ordered steaks and salads! I would highly... More

we had an average dinner, however it was disturbed by a very loud party the entire time. The party must've slowed down the service as is took a long time to get our food and bill. There were a lot of neat choices on the menu. My son's lasagne was the best choice. My tuna was dry. My daughters spaghetti... More

Ok, I will begin by saying that I very rarely come out of a restaurant absolutely thrilled with everything about the visit, meal, service and atmosphere. I am not overly picky or anything theres just usually something that isn't up to standards for me. With that said, I loved absolutely everything about our lunch trip to the City Park Grill!!!!!...
