not my first choice in Petoskey

We have had both lunch and dinner here in the past. Last month we stopped in for a quick late night dinner when coming into town. It was the same as before. Low lighting, quite dark in areas, and a very laid back atmosphere. This place serves mostly bar type food and it is just average. There... read more

Didn't eat there this time--just had wine & beer. Peanut shells on the floor kind of place. Bartender had great sense of humor & good service.

Stopped in here on the way back from mackinac island based on the mostly good reviews. It is a seat yourself place with tables jam packed together. We got a seat but it took a while to get it cleaned off. The server was mostly efficient until it came time to actually get our food! It took forever! And we... More

We are here visiting family in the hospital and stepped out for lunch. We chose the Mitchell Street Pub. It was warm out like 85 with good humidity. However it felt like it was 60 inside. FREEZING for sure. The food was really good the drinks just like I like them nice and strong. The service if she would have... More

Five us women ate dinner here recently. Everyone of us said the food was good. I had the French dip sandwich and it was very tender and tasty. Reasonable priced. The pub has been here for years and people keep coming. Our waitress wasn't real friendly, but it is summer and crowded and a table full of women can be... More

Our desk clerk suggested this place and we're so glad she did. Large selection of draft beer (local), enough food to satisfy a 16 year old boy and excellent potato skins. The Reuben had just enough sauce not to over power the meat and sauerkraut. Equal amounts of everything. The booths in the back give a nice ambiance. Good family... More

The Mitchell Street Pub is a petoskey/northern Michigan classic. If you don't love it after your fist time, you're crazy! NACHOS. Get the NACHOS!

Very cool dark pub with tons of interesting decorations. Our server was very rushed and unfriendly, almost to the point of not wanting to engage. My husband ordered walleye which was prepared in a VERY heavy batter. Not good. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich that was good but very spicy hot. waitress never filled beverages or offered dessert, etc.

The food was very good. They seemed short staffed when it was busy. Good choice of beers and good variety of food. I would go back again and try some other items on the menu. Not a trendy place, but they have been there for a long time, which speaks to the general quality and level of service.

When we first walked in, we couldn't see anything. It was very dark and cave-like. Once our eyes adjusted, it was just a hometown bar with TONS of things on the walls and ceiling. I got the patty melt and my husband got the walleye plate. Service was good and food was good. However, it was a Tuesday night and... More
