We decided to pop in here for dinner one night and we weren't disappointed. We shared the garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer then shared one of their pizzas on special as our meal. No complaints.

After dragging my husband purse shopping at the leather store next door we decided a cold beer was what we needed. Got sat right away on the deck. You could see the lake from our table and we sat and people watched while we enjoyed our beer. Not a huge selection, would have been nice to have more Michigan options,... More

This place was highly recommended by our hotel and is clearly a popular spot for all sorts (adults, families, couples). Yet I'd definitely go elsewhere next time I'm in town. Food was mixed: some good some not so good, some awful. (The onion soup and hamburger were good, kids loved the child's plain cheese pizza, but the (adult) caprese pizza... More

We like thin crust, wood fired, New York-style pizza. Papa Lou's doesn't do that, but it's still among the best pizza we've had in the U.S. Had the Good Fellas and the Della Donna. Crispy crusts supported a lot of toppings (heavy loads of cheese on both). Basil-infused olive oil made both pies. Decent selection of craft brews from around... More

ABSOLUTELY LOUSY SERVICE. Visited this restaurant tonight with six other people. Left our name with the hostess who said it would be twenty minutes to seating us. In the meantime we observed at least three four-tops empty. We asked for an update after we waited thirty minutes. We were told a table was being bussed just for us. Another fifteen... More

The upstairs does have a great view and the pizza is delicious! The pizza was very fresh and not greasy at all. However, later during our visit we went to Noggins and I have to admit we liked their pizza much better. Try both and see which you like, both have very different atmospheres.

This place is a must see if you are in Petoskey. We had the pizza--it was delicious and not too expensive. They also have wonderful local brews on tap. The view of the bay from the outdoor deck was gorgeous. Be sure to go upstairs and check out their unique bar that has swings for bar stools!

In Petosky for a sports event, Papa Lou's came recommended by another family on the team. We ended up eating their twice in one weekend because we liked it so much. The first time we left the kid behind with the rest of the team and got a table on the outside deck upstairs with a view of Little Traverse... More

My family ate here on our family vacation, and we were seated on the outdoor patio - which was covered and up high - upstairs of the restaurant. The view of the bay was beautiful, and I read that they have some night time live entertainment and great views of the sunset on the patio. We had pizza and it... More
