It was a little windy outside, in the evening, so most people moved inside. It offered a nice respite for a light meal. Fish Chowder was good, and the Steak Bites were great! Enjoy!

We really enjoyed Knot's. Our server Chantelle was very sweet and accommodating. The hummus and pita chips are deelish! The tortilla soup was their special and it was really good. It's a broth-based soup - not the thick, cheesy stuff a lot of places serve. The mahi tacos were also really good. The sweet potato fries were average - a... More

We had dinner here our first night in Petoskey. It wasn't crowded and we were seated right away at a table with a view of the water. My menu wasn't clean, it had pieces of food stuck to it. Our server was friendly and helpful. I had the shrimp and French onion soup. Both were good. We also tried the... More

To receive the best service we are after the young families from the Bay harbor area had departed and we enjoyed a sunset over the yachts and waterfront houses . We began with wine and our server was attentive allowing time to enjoy the view and to review the menu. We selected the scrumptious Mahi Mahi and side salad .... More

What a cute little nautical themed bar/restaurant in a beautiful setting. At there two times, a week apart, ordered the same identical meal: French Onion Soup and the Wedge Salad. The portion sizes on the salad were not consistent. The first meal we had 3 small halves of romaine lettuce with bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and bleu cheese... More

Shrimp was overlooked with too much breading. It was an hour before our table was served. Brownie with ice cream was a little hard. Nice view.

Knot, just a bar is actually in Bay Harbor about 15 minutes from Petoskey. The Knot Seafood Chowder was creamy rich with a spoonful of seafood. Quick and good service with a waterfront view of the boats and a lawn wedding at the Bay Harbor Hotel. Open 7 days a week.

Driving through Petosky, Michigan there appeared to be a large resort on the lake at Bay Harbor where a cement plant was located long, long ago. We stopped and asked a local for a lunch suggestion - Knot Just a Bar was it. Great location with both inside and outside seating overlooking a classy marina and the lake beyond. Good... More

This is a very cool place. One section is wine tasting with a very good selection of local wines to try free of charge in a fantastic tasting room that has a spectacular view of the bay. We ended up buying the Baco Noir and the Sangria. A good selection of outdoor seating in front of the restaurant and bar.... More

I hated every moment that I was at this bar. I walked in on a random Wednesday afternoon and sat at the empty bar. It took 10 minutes for someone to finally acknowledge that I was sitting there. I ordered a beer and asked for a menu. She slapped the menu down in front of me and then went to... More
