This was a busy place but well worth the wait. We got seated quickly and ordered, the meal took a little bit, but the waitress made sure we had coffee and beverages. The Eggs Benedict was wonderful, omelets and scrambles were also tasty...french toast a nice size serving. Hash Browns were crisp and delicious. Great pricing. Much better than the... More

On any visit to Petoskey I will generally have one meal at Filmore's. It is well located among the hotels on US-131, reasonably priced with daily specials, and pretty good food. As other reviewers have noted, this is not a bastion of haute cuisine. It is a family-type place to get regular food for regular people as opposed to many... More

Nothing special nothing fancy. Okay food. Canned sausage gravy. If your wanting just some bacon and eggs your good to go here. If you are wanting something special this is not the place.

We were looking for a place to have a good breakfast. Great coffee and a very nice breakfast menu. Very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a traveller missing their favorite restaurant.

If you are looking for bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and toast, this is the place. Extensive breakfast menu includes omelets, pancakes and french toast. Service and food were great. Coffee not so much.

We went to Filmores on this trip and everything was as we left it 1 year ago, which was good. The same waitstaff, decor, food all were good and what we've come to expect. Filmores is the type of place that you go when you want your "usual". They know who you are and can kind of anticipate what the... More

You would never think to stop at this little location tucked in the back of a large parking lot but it was WAY worth the stop. We stopped and had breakfast twice during our honeymoon and the portions are large and cooked fresh. I wish we had one around the corner! So much better than Ihop!

Four of us ate had lunch and really found the food very tasty, well presented, at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is great, I also truly enjoyed viewing all of the paintings of what looked like local homes. Would suggest a visit to anyone in the area.

This was my second visit to J.W. Filmore's; I first ate here last year for breakfast, and had an amazing time eating amazing food. When I ate here for lunch today, however, I was deeply disappointed. After reading about the "homemade meatloaf" (like mother made it), I excitedly ordered the dish. I know restaurant's are not known for making the... More

Filmore's resides in an older building, but the interior and the booths have no tears, splits, or other wear and tear. For breakfast, we tried the Farmer's Special ($5.75) ... 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon, and 3 5-inch buttermilk pancakes. A coffee-filled carafe comes table side so you can refresh your cup as you like. The waitress was very pleasant... More
