A winner

Located in the Stafford hotel -- bar area with mugs kept for regulars on wall. Seating a bit cramped if very busy -- you want a room in main room with TV's as tables near door in winter are cold. Food decent -- fun place.

The Noggin Room has great bar food and drink specials. Be sure to visit them when they have live music for a great night of fun. The location is in the lower level of the Stafford Hotel and it offers a cozy setting with popcorn on every table. I love going here with friends and family alike!

Popcorn before a meal is always wonderful, and this atmosphere here is perfect to sit back and enjoy. The food is typical bar food, but very good. My favorite is definitely the pizza. Servers are usually very courteous and quick to answer any questions. Not the best place for kids, as it is a bar environment. Very good place for... More

We went on a late, drizzly, December afternoon and were pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks we had at the Noggin Room. Some of the standouts were the fried Brie/berry appetizer, french onion soup, fish tacos, pizza, and mac and cheese hot dog! It was a bit dark inside for an afternoon but it was cozy.

We always enjoy the beer, free popcorn, and food. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, as it was this year. In addition, the howling wind comes in the back door and can really freeze out your party.

Love the atmosphere in the basement of the old Stafford hotel in downtown Petoskey. They start you with popcorn on the table. We could have sat all night listening to the live entertainment and drinking a beer. The entertainment was Mike Ridley. We started the evening with artichoke dip which was served with a soft bread, some of the best... More

Visited on a recommendation of the best fish and chips which is a tall bar to reach. Turned out the recommendation was pretty close. Battered whitefish with their own house made sauce was top notch. Could not pass up good old fashioned Pabst beer on tap even though they had a very good selection of microbrew. Had great artichoke dip... More

What a super cosy place this is...great food, great atmosphere, what more could you ask for?! Food came out quickly and was cooked deliciously, had the prime rib salad which was excellent. Great wine/beer list. Would definitely go back.

We have eaten here many many times as we used to have on office in Petoskey years ago. This place gives you a local feel and is very laid back. They always greet you with a basked of fresh popcorn which is better than the movie theaters. We both had a Michigan berry salad as an entree. Seemed a little... More

They have some creative appetizers like the brie tray as well as some consistently solid entrees like the planked whitefish. The service was very attentive and friendly. Our waiter shook my hand after wishing me a happy New Year, how often does that happen. The seating is limited and the bar is a bit cramped. They have live entertainment almost... More
