Delish fun coffee spot!

I just recently visited Roast & Toast on recommendation from a Michigan native and boy was it hopping! And now I know why! With tons of fun coffee and latte options (I didn't try the food) it was cool to pick a drink that was unique! The latte I got was fabulous because while it had a bunch of... read more

Roast and Toast has received mixed reviews but its relatively high ranking among Petoskey's restaurants is not deserved. Food is mediocre, service is slow, the atmosphere is casual to the point of indifference and the place does not appear to be clean. Would not return.

Had coffee and breakfast there. The egg wraps were great! We got the Denver, Spinach and Spicy Veggie wraps. Get them with the spicy potatoes. Coffees are wonderful with free refills if you eat in. Will be back!

I don't think they ever clean the place. I have tried this place a few times and each time I come away disappointed. The coffee is not good. The tables are always dirty and I have to clean them before I eat. I am not sure why they are still in business.

This was a great breakfast place. The muffins and smoothies were a great price compared to everything else around and they tasted great!

Located in the heart of Petoskey's historic gaslight district, this coffee shop might not merit more than passing mention were it found in a major university town, but we're referencing an anchor business in a village of 6,000 year-round residents. Its long success may be attributable to a core of loyal clientele, but it easily attracts newcomers, who seem equally... More

I didn't feel there were a lot of healthy vegetarian options that sounded savory or appealing to me at all. My BF ordered the 3 pancake breakfast, but was told by one of the staff that he would not be able to get it since they had run out of syrup, mind you it was only 9:30am at this point.... More

Great sandwich spot. They have fresh ingredients with a coffee shop style restaurant. We stopped here for a quick lunch and we were very happy with our choice. I loved the sourdough bread! They only have one table outside.

When going to Petosky to shop Rosdt and Tosst is the natural place to eat after shopping at Grampa Shorters and McClean and Eakins Independent Book Store. Great soups, vegan choices, great drinks and interesting servers. Funky charming atmosphere.

Have been coming to Petoskey for years and now reside here. Have had many breakfasts and lunches here too. It can be noisy and chaotic with hit and miss service, which can be rude. If you are looking for homemade, scratch made meals, you should go somewhere else. Meals are cooked in a microwave. Not a grill, not a griddle... More

Ben W, Owner at Roast & Toast, responded to this review

Thank you for taking your time to write a review. I need to respond to the statement re: scratch meals. Every morning we chop fresh vegetables to make 4 soups; season, roast, chill and slice fresh chicken for our sandwiches and salads, bake our bread, cookies, scones and muffins; chop fresh vegetables for sandwiches and salads; make our own sauces...
