Warm & toasty indeed

Soup bar is amazing even though chili was a bit spicey. Asparagus leek soup & homemade bread was perfection. Grilled pesto cheese sandwich was great too. This is where the locals meet & eat. Well worth a visit.

Super cool little place downtown in the historic gas light district. First thing youll notice is the outside entrance is tons of broken plates and mugs embedded into the wall. very cool. Super laid back neat place inside, I had the autumn sunset latte, a coffee with hazelnut and cinnamon and whipped cream on top and chocolate chip cookie and... More

Nice place to take a coffee break. Their breakfast sandwiches on english muffins are really good. The coffee menu is a little overwhelming at first, tons of latte and flavored options is that's your thing. They make a great cappuccino. They also do lunch/dinner. Nothing fancy, but really good sandwiches on what looks like homemade bread...the BLTA hit the spot!... More

This place was recommended to us by my mother's doctor. My mother, my sister & I all ordered the cream of asparagus soup- the flavor was good but I don't like onions and there were alot of quite big onion chunks in it. My sister & I each had the grilled chicken gyro- neither of us cared for it. There... More

I have been to the Roast and Toast Cafe many times over the years and have head a great experience EVERY time! Whether you stop in for a coffee, smoothly or to grab something to eat, it is ALL excellent! The service is friendly, and I could sit in their atmosphere all day! If you are in the Petoskey area,... Stopped on to grab breakfast and we just missed it (make it before 11!) We decided to stay and I very much enjoyed my latte and sandwich ( they make they're own bread too which is very good) Blackened chicken sandwich and potato soup were wonderful. Wish I was in Petoskey more often to sample more soups and sandwiches. I'll... More

Went back to Petoskey for a final weekend of winter sports and couldn't pass on the opportunity to visit Roast & Toast. I was equally impressed by the friendly staff who were there for opening. A perfect machiatto for dad and mom, and the kids were happy to get a(nother) cinnamon roll for post snowboarding snack later in the day.

Go early, the lines get long fast! We were in Petosky for a week and came to understand that we needed to get there early! Even when we did get there during the breakfast rush, the service was pretty quick! Staff is friendly and everything we tried there was awesome! Plenty of seating, but can get a little tight when... Loved this place. Very relaxing and service was outstanding. Coffee was excellent with good choices. We had breakfast (omelette, eggs/toast) and it was excellent. Also had Gluten free breads which was a huge bonus and excellent. We wanted to return for lunch as they have a great, eclectic type sandwich menu. Free wifi was nice, pseudo expected anymore with coffee... More

Food and drinks were good. Light meals for when you do not want a heavy dinner. Staff was not overly friendly however they were not rude.
