We recently had the opportunity to visit Chandlers for lunch. Our friends had been there before and really wanted to visit the establishment again. What a treat this restaurant was, and certainly not a secret. The food was great and the service perfect. As we were leaving we talked to a couple that had tried to get in for dinner... More

My wife and I brought our 5 and 3 yr old daughters here on a Thursday night. We got outside seating which was very nice. They did not have kids menus but the portion sizes are generous and we all shared. Everyone tried and like the calamari for appetizer. The bread was delicious with an excellent olive oil. My wife... Whenever my husband and I are looking for more than the usual country food or something more exotic than meat and potatoes, we drive more 50 miles to dine at Chandler's - it's that good! My favorite that we rarely have on their menu now is their wild mushroom risotto. Yum, yum, YUM!

After bypassing the $60 steak, we both had small plates - me the Farmer's Plate sampling pate, sausage, olives and more, Delicious! Also very good calimare. YUM. Lovely outdoor atmosphere, but quite expensive. Don't take the kids.

Called ahead for a reservation which was a good idea as they were busy. Great food and service. Kinda cramped in a cozy sort of way on the inside. Outside dining was available also.

Great to be back to Chandler's. I love the ambiance: intimate, hip, energetic. We were there for dinner, but my appetite was a bit off, so I just had the foie gras and a cheese platter. The foie gras was great and the cheese platter was killer. Our waiter was young and not particularly experienced, but couldn't have been nicer... More

Calamari was tough inside and soggy outside, flavorless salmon sushi roll with too much mayo, weight staff was inattentive and rude, tablecloth was very wrinkled, too loud to have a conversation, tables way too crowded. We spend our summers in Petoskey and always disappointed. Overpriced and poor quality!

We stopped for lunch again and were even able to get an outside table without a wait. This place if very popular and not very large. We ordered soup and split a sandwich. The soup was incorrect but quickly changed to the right one. As always the food and service were very good and the atmosphere gives you that feeling... More

My husband and i ate in the wine cellar which has a great atmosphere. The shrimp satay and tuna poke was to die for.. Loved it. Then we had the grilled / chilled beet salad - delicious!! Filet and Halibut were the perfect entrees!! We go every couple years and this establishment always surpasses our expectations... Highly recommend!

Chandlers food is very good but I believe the praises have gone to their head. $59 for a porterhouse? REally? Are we in NYC or Petoskey? I love the restaurant and visit there every year but between the high prices and limited menu, it's losing its status as my FAV restaurant in Petoskey. The new maître'd could also use a... More
