We were staying in Paw Paw for one night. Were driving around, trying to decide where to go for dinner. Spotted La Cantina. It sounded like it might be Mexican. We like Mexican food. Since we never been there before, I went inside to check it out. While there, I found out it is an Italian restaurant. We really didn't... More

Try to make this restaurant at least once or twice each year. Their house salad used to have more ingredients (tomatoes, perhaps croutons, etc.) but this was just leafy dark green lettuce. The house dressing is tasty and can be purchased to take home. Pleasant waitress / efficient. Veal Parmegan had a slightly different, less appealing taste from other similar... More

This family-owned restaurant has a lot to offer. I've eaten here several times and have always had a delicious meal. It offers an extensive menu but my favorites are the pasta and meatballs, and chicken Parmesan. The restaurant has outdoor seating and beautiful views. It's wonderful to patronize a family business instead of a chain. They make you feel welcomed.... More

Business dinner on a Sunday night. The food was outstanding but the service was truly lousy. Our waitress literally left during the middle of our meal. She also spilled a glass of wine on me. We saw her walking down the sidewalk. The atmosphere is nice yet informal. The bar is very nice as well, and the wine-pour was generous.... More

think the service and the food was very god. the view is a bonus. like the fact family owned, not a chain. after reading reviews am thinking maybe we need to throw out the high and low. Low may be a disgruntled former employee, or a competitor? High might also have an interest ?

We were originally heading to a night out with fiends at a Mexican restaurant. We located La Cantina on the internet and we were surprised that it was indeed Italian. We were quickly seated next to the window view of the lovey river located right next door. We had a large group of 12 and were immediately taken care of.... More

Excellent Italian food in a restaurant that has been around for generations. The veal marsalla is amazing, the planked whitefish delicious, the minestrone soup is the best around! They also make a mean Cuban sandwich!! Laurie F- Paw Paw resident

I recently brought my adult children here, my son and his wife on November 27, and his twin sister, my daughter, on November 29. Food was excellent, as it has always been since I first ate there with my father in 1966. Service and atmosphere were wonderful.

We stopped in for dinner while in the area geocaching and visiting the two wineries and was extremely disappointed in the slow serve! Even though it was a Friday evening about 6:00 pm, the restaurant was maybe a third of the way full. We sat in a small area in the front and ordered a large primavera style pizza. That's... More
