Best Fresh Fish

We had whitefish caught 2 hours before it was cooked. Absolutely amazing. Nice casual, laid back atmosphere. Attentive waitresses. No fish smell in the restaurant. Warning all they have dinner wise is fish, unless you want a appetizer.

The town was full of people because of a local trail race. We decided to eat here, as we have eaten here in years past. The food was served quickly. I was talked down from a 3 piece whitefish dinner to a 2. The two pieces were very small, the smallest being only 3 inches long. The fish still had... More

We dined there on 18 July 2015 in the early afternoon, this is not our first time here, and we were looking forward to returning to eat the best fish we've ever eaten. Ordered the 3 piece Whitefish basket... DELICIOUS! I asked for extra Tartar Sauce forgetting that the fish is very tasty and very delicious that nothing else needs... More

We stopped in for a takeout dinner after doing the 4 mile hike at Tahquamenon Falls (Lower to Upper). We wanted to go back to our hotel with dinner in hand and this was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The fish was really fresh and nicely prepared - lightly coated and fried. We are usually not fans of fried... More

The building's not much to look at, but the food more than makes up for it. The whitefish was caught that morning and served for lunch. They have other options on the menu, but you go to a place like this for fresh fish. Lunch was definitely on the pricey side ($80 after tip for 4 people) and it's cash... More

The food was delicious. The fact that trout wasn't available that day because there was none in the basket that morning was impressive. I had a 2 piece whitefish basket and it was plenty. We also tried the smoked fish dip and it was wonderful.

We were tipped off to try Brown's from a local we met in Sault Ste. Marie and what a lucky tip that was! My husband had the whitefish basket and I had the whitefish sandwich. Both were delicious and so very fresh, being caught that morning. The batter on the fish was light and tasty and the French fries were... More

This is a small family run restaurant. The whitefish was AMAZING! It had been caught that morning and served for lunch. You can also purchase smoked fish and fish dip as well.

Today we live in a society were blasting people or bringing them down is the norm. I really don't like to do this especially to a small ma and pa operation, they bust their tail and in many cases such as this place its seasonal. So I will do my review in two sections, the food and the service. I'm... More

During my week-long stay in Paradise, I kept driving by here and its lot was always jammed with cars, so with one day left in my vacation, I tried a different tactic. As the signage indicates a noon opening, I pulled in at about 11:45 and waited for the doors to open. I'm glad I did. The whitefish was excellent.... More
