We got there about 2 and got right in. Our waitress said the fish was caught at 10 this am. Boneless and fried nicely. Slaw and fries were very good. Also tried the deep fried mushrooms. They were just as good as everyone says. Waitress was one of the 3 owners. Very friendly .Like many others we were already too... More

Visited based on TA reviews. The whitefish was very fresh and taste was quite decent. We enjoyed quick service and good pickles. Wanted to try their whitefish dip, but they were out of it, so we had the trout dip instead. I think we would have enjoyed the whitefish dip better. Service was quick and friendly.

Brown's is a must stop every year!! Great to walk in and be greeted as a regular - even if it's only once a year. It is a place to easily drive by because it doesn't offer a lot of frills - you come for the fish!! The whole place maybe seats 30-50. Owned by a Father & his son... More

Mouth watering, amazing, light, we are still talking about it. Make the drive, it's so worth it. We didn't have the chowder, but had the fried mushrooms, and they were incredible. Yum. Waitresses were so kind and sweet.

I'll be honest here. This place is a hole in the wall. We've been coming here for years & I'm very picky when it comes to fish. I'm not really into fried fish either. Let me just say this is the best Whitefish I've ever had & I'm not kidding. Don't go within an hour of Paradise without making the... More

The whitefish was very tasty. Unfortunately they were out of the chowder. We found out they don't always make it. We were fortunate to get seated. It is not a very big place and a lot of people had to wait - especially large groups. The staff hustles and we were served very quickly and it was very hot! So... More

We wanted to see for ourselves just how good the whitefish really is at The Fish House...it was the BEST!!! A neat little restaurant in Paradise, MI. The staff was very friendly, and let us know that our fish was caught just hours before being cooked. We all ordered the 2-piece whitefish plate for about $11 and left very satisfied... More

The lady at the establishment we were staying in recommended that we go to Browns. She told us that they catch the fish that day and serve it until they run out of fish. We went there and were seated immediately. The waitstaff is kind of what I expected in a one intersection town. Rushed, very busy but polite. When... More

We stopped for lunch at Brown Fisheries Fish House in July, 2014, based upon a recommendation from another family member that had visited the year before. Glad we did! Fresh whitefish - wonderful! And yes you can taste the difference of fish caught that morning and served the very same day. Loved it! Service was good, location/setting/prices could have been... More

While out hiking around the falls we were looking for a good place to eat. Saw reviews here and decided to try it. Glad we did. Small place, glad we got there when we did (2pm) because the place was busy and the people kept coming. Fish was fantastic and the staff was very friendly.
