Very nice atmosphere great food excellent service. Deserts are out of this world, this is a diamond in the rough, you wouldn't expect to find this kind of fine dinning in Oscoda .

Small good looking restaurant with consistent food and service. Friendly atmosphere and relaxed dinning. Menu is very basic with decent steaks and prime rib. Salads are in need of some love but overall you would leave this place satisfied.

Great signature items. Take the wait staffs recommendations. We liked the food. The restaurant seemed a little outdated and plain, but the taste of the food was well worth it.

They were very busy and short handed the day we were there, but the food was excellent and the service good.

The service was efficient, the server was delightful, and most importantly the food was delicious. The bread was fresh, the salad was crisp, the onion soup was different from the ordinary, but very tasty, and the entree's (flank steak and the pasta with scallops) were outstanding. The chocolate dessert we shared only gets an "ok" rating. If we ever find... More

Was in Oscoda for our wedding anniversary and wanted an upscale restaurant for that evening. This was the best Oscoda has to offer. The food was good, the ambiance was also nice. A little noisy due to the hard ceilings reflecting the sounds. We were given a more or less private cubicle. The price is more than I would normally... More

Came for lunch. Ordered the steak wrap that was on special for lunch. The steak was seasoned well, and the tortilla used was nice and soft. French fries served were fresh as well, but nothing special if I'm honest. Our server was slow to refill drinks while we were her only table. I would rate the taste of the wrap... More

After reading other reviews that say Tait's Bill of Fare is the best place to eat in this area, I would suggest, if you're looking for a "fine dining" experience, if you have the time, drive to Alpena and go to the Courtyard Restaurant & Lounge. We had one of the BEST dining experiences EVER. Unlike Tait's, the food at... More

Felt like it was the before part of an episode of restaurant impossible. Decor was very very outdated and reminded both my husband and I of eating in a retirement home dining room. Menu probably hasn't been updated in a long long time and both of our food was very bland. Not worth the money.

I am a regular patron here and enjoy the quiet and intimate atmosphere as well as the excellent food. The soup is great and the salad is always fresh and crisp with homeade dressings. I enjoy everything about Tait's and would recommend it to anyone for either lunch or dinner.
