This is not really a restaurant. Tucked on the side of this Japanese supermarket is a lunch counter. There are only a few booths but the food is served fast and reasonably priced. No waiters: your order goes directly to the chef; miso soup and water are self-service; and the bill is paid at the supermarket's cashier. The sushi is... More

This place has the best sushi with great value. We often visit this restaurant. Recently, this place has been very crowded. I guess many people have discovered this hidden gem. Do not expect fancy seating. It is a simple restaurant with good food. Also note that it close at 7 pm. There is a Japanese Supermarket within this restaurant. You... More

My wife visits at least once a week for Japanese food. We are very lucky to have such a Japanese supermarket close by.

I've been shopping here for years, and the gaigin customer count is way up for a reason. You can buy staples for Japanese cuisine or help yourself to pre-packaged sushi/ ramen/ bento items available at a reasonable cost. The fish selection is varied and fresh, and the check-out lanes are quick and efficient. Produce prices are high for even commonly... More

I first found this place about one year ago and have been coming here every few weeks ever since. The place is very clean and has a wide collection of Japanese food/snacks. There is a sushi bar that is perhaps among the best in Michigan. Also, there is a Japanese bookstore called Mirai next door and operated by the same... More

Pretty solid Japanese grocery store, though the prices are slightly higher than other smaller Korean/Japanese markets. I like the fact that they have a large selection of fresh fish, sashimi, and produce. Their dried goods are ample, with everything you need to making okonomiyaki, zaru soba, tempura, dashi miso soup. They also have oodles of noodles, seaweed, kombu (black kelp),... More

This is inside a japanese grocery. I can honestly say, after eating in Japan, and searching for the taste, this place is a winner. Huge... HUGE winner. noblefish loses, ajishin loses, one world market wins. You are treated nicely, no matter who you are. All food is made by real japanese sushi chefs. The perfect miso soup is only a... It's a grocery store taken right off of a street in Japan. Row after row of great products (most have some english on the labels). A small department with small kitchen appliances from Japan. And a GREAT SUSHI bar! They also prepare sushi and place it in a cooler so you can walk in and run out, but have them... More

The prices are reasonable....the sushi great....Not all the frills of a fancy japanese restaurant....If you are looking for a place to impress on a date....go somewhere else....unless your date loves good sushi...and maybe some other treats from the market. Just down the road there is a great pastry house called "hippo house" to finish your meal....Best for lunch
