Anniversary Dinner

Wonderful. Mid week and still very busy. Service was on point. Food was delicious. We ordered several different rolls. My fave from that night was the Cancun, yum! We took a lot home so we could still get dessert. We shared the creme brulee. It was good too.

Shiros has some of the best and sometimes most innovative sushi around. The roll with prime rib and toasted garlic didn't sound like it would be good. It was great. Love Shiros.

Went the day before Father's Day. NO KIDS MENUS!!! Food was bland. Very disappointed. Several had sushi it was okay. Beef teriyaki was cook to done and set on slaw. (What?). What's the deal with slaw. It use to have cooked vegetables. One had stir fry noodles and it was tasteless. Yuk

Shiro is not a typical Japanese restaurant; it's located in a historic 1929 mansion built by Charles Rogers, the inventor of condensed milk. The central grand staircase evokes staircases of Civil-War era southern plantation homes. Seating in the mansion may find you in any one of several rooms, upstairs or down. Shiro's several menus are long-ranging - specials, sushi, mains,... More

On Mother's Day, I wanted to surprise my wife and kids to a new restaurant and my wife wanted Asian food. Took me like two hours of research around town (Troy, MI) but nothing outstand what I was looking for, after I expand my limits this restaurant sound a little intriguing and I heard something about it long time ago.... The food at Shiro is always excellent and it's one of our favorite places. It's also romantic and has great ambiance for a special occasion. We don't eat out often and we like to try new places, but are often disappointed with the food and don't return. Not so with Shiro. It never disappoints and the prices are reasonable for... More

From the moment my husband and I walked in we were treated like VIP guests! Our waitstaff was extremely attentive and made sure our every need was met. The sushi was very fresh and it was sliced and seasoned beautifully. Our entrées were DELICIOUS and the presentation was absolutely perfect. The desert really blew the top off of our experience... This was our first experience at Shiro. It isn't your typical modern and eclectic sushi restaurant. It is situated in an older Victorian style house, which made it interesting, albeit a little drafty and cold in the winter. But the food made up for sitting next to a cold window. The best meal of the night was the Tuna Martini.... More

This is a great restaurant! The service is prompt and friendly and the food is excellent, fresh, and creative. I also love the setting of the restaurant - an old mansion, it's very romantic and nostalgic. They also have a great, trendy bar with a wide selection of liquor, wine and sake. This is a great place for a date... More

Walking up the steps to this once grand old house was an experience in itself. Service was friendly, food very well done and fresh. prices moderate. I had the White Castle roll..I know I know, very fresh ingredients, well made and pleasant serving appeal. Their shaved ginger was excellant-so fresh! A table of 9 ladies, we shared several appetizers, then... More
