Ajishin

Ajishin has one of the best bowls of udon soup in this area. I go only for that! I have tasted lots of soup both in the US and Japan and their broth is the best. A good soup maker knows its all about the broth or base. Its rich, not too salty and has lots of flavor. They are... read more

This place has the best udon in all of Michigan. I highly recommend it to anyone! It's always packed!

The sushi here was pretty good. Had the eel and shrimp tempura rolls. The eel could have had more sauce and the tempura could have been served warm as fried shrimp should be - and have been at other establishments like this one. Overall the food was good. I didn't try the udon soup but it looked very inviting. They... More

I've been going to Ajishin for the past 4 years and the food is consistent, fresh and very good. I'd recommend the sushi or various udon noodles. They don't have the fancy sushi rolls but what they do offer they make well. This is a small restaurant and it typically is very busy so I rarely dine in. I love... More

This place has very fresh authentic sushi. There are no "bells & whistles" when it comes to their menu. They serve some hot aquarium water to begin with which smells repulsive. The service, atmosphere and ambiance is crap. If your looking for a nice "night out" at a nice place, skip this establishment.

The best shushi on this side of town. Wish they had entertainment and better atmosphere! Food is fresh.

The food is great, the grilled eel Kyo-Chirachi was my personnal favorite. Even though it's a bit expensive, it's worth the money if you're looking for noodles or Kyo-Chirachi.

This is one of very few Japanese restaurants in Michigan which serve real Japanese foods. The foods here are from west of Japan because the owner chef is from Kyoto. The price is low and unchanged for more than 10 years. It is worth waiting in line.

They generally have a line to get in--they don't open the doors until 11:30 in the morning last time I was there. They are way too small for the crowds they serve. With a huge Japanese population in Novi, craving the foods of home this place fits the bill. If only you can get in...sadly, the wait and line has... More

Sushi is very good, other Japanese dishes maybe more standard. Personnel is friendly, somebody speaking very little English to give wrong information (dish not available, instead available with the following waitress). Good place, try to avoid rush hours.
