Contemporary yet cozy. They even grow some of their own spices/herbs and vegies right outside the door. How earthy!! It's not your typical restaurant. I enjoyed it.

This is one of the best finds in the area. We stayed at the hotel-Baronette Renaissance and had an amazing brunch! Porchetta & Eggs, Eggs Benedict, Salmon Bagel, Heirloom Salad! Everything was super fresh. Great foodie restaurant! We will be back every time we visit family in Michigan!

Stayed couple of times in the attached hotel and the restaurant is always worth a visit. The food is made out of local sourced incredients with focus on serving you something special. The winelist completes the food nicely and prices are affordable.

I live in San Francisco and am very lucky to be able to eat at nice restaurants on a regular basis. I was floored by the quality and style of the food at the Toasted Oak and would highly recommend it. Extremely thoughtful, creative dishes made with fresh, highly local ingredients plus an extremely knowledgeable staff with a lot of... More

I'm just not sure about how I feel about this place. This was my second visit; the first left me with the same feeling. The wine list and pricing are excellent. They sell wine at the same price you would pay for a bottle at the grocery store and add a $7 corking fee. The house salad was great and... More

The food AND service here is completely hit or miss. The organic chicken dish that used to be great there is now bland and extremely dry (don't order), but the pork chop was one of the best I've ever had. So wierd! The service there; however was the worst! We got a lady who had no idea she was even... More

I've reviewed Toasted Oak previously, both for lunch and dinner. We go there every few months, it's that good. Our experience last Saturday, the day before Mother's Day, was remarkable. We were talking with Kelsey, who was pouring our wine, about a delicious dish we'd had there a few years ago made with foraged spring treats. It was so memorable... More

Bottomless Mimosas - best way to start brunch. Tasty/Strong Coffee. Everyone enjoyed their meals - porchetta & eggs, hazelnut French Toast & egg white omelet. Service was very good - never had to ask for refills. Not very crowded but steady. Will definitely be back!
