Best bread in Town!

We have been buying our bread from this location for the past dozen years or so. It is truly the best bread in town. All bread is baked fresh daily and sold with a smile. Come in early and watch the crew making a variety of different bread. Price per loaf is higher than what you would pay in... read more

Very casual atmosphere. Most days there are at least 10 different sandwich offerings. You can choose your bread from usually 5 different kinds. I had the hummus veggie sandwich on Michigan herb rye. It was packed with all kinds of vegetables, and slathered with hummus. Very well put together & stayed packed instead of falling apart like these kinds of sandwiches... More

I dislike that they don't have my favorite selections of bread and that they always out of the one that I want to try the most... For example: they don't make Asiago Cheese bread or Bagels of any kind. They only carry one type of bread with nuts and their next closest thing is the Cinnamon Rolls bread. Sure, adding... More

A special stop once in awhile. The price of their bread is a bit costly, but our favorite The Michigan Cherry Walnut is worth every penny.

Look; this place offers "Homemade Style" Breads. It is a chain, and what they offer is NOT what you would make at home. Read the label before you buy! Also consider this: What they charge you ($$), you can make yourself for cents on the dollar, even if you are including your time. Yes, for convenience sake, we might stop... More

I had my daughter bring me a muffin and a cinnamon roll from GHBC. I had my tastebuds all set to enjoy these with a mug of coffee. Both items were dried out and tasteless. I've had no name baked goods that were much better. This isn't the first time I've had poor tasting baked goods from GHBC, but it... More

We try to support small, local business in our area. We choose GHB over the chain in the area. The staff is always great, the coffee is fresh and hot, and the bread well lets just say there is nothing like it. The smell of fresh bread bread baking and the samples they give you are great. The owner is... More

Great Harvest Bread Co. is very generous with their bread samples. When I went, they had around five or six different types or loaves of bread out on a platter for guests to sample. I had to go for the cinnamon swirl bread, as it was recommended to me, and it was just amazing. It's like a cinnamon bun without... More
