A little hidden gem in the middle of Northport. Some girlfriends and I went for a drink and ended up staying all night because we loved talking with Ralph and Tank, two locals at the bar. If you ever have the chance to meet Ralph you'll be lucky... We hear he is there everyday and he can light up a... More

As other reviews indicate, Fischers has a homey, up-north feel to it that we always enjoy. We were there for a late lunch, were chilled from a walk on the beach and decided to have their chili. As always, the chili was outstanding, though people who like really hot seasoning would have to doctor theirs. The chili was thick and... More

Recommended by a local, met friends for dinner here. Seems like the lace has always been there. It was packed full, so went to the small bar to wait. Owner bar tending and telling stories. Got our table in a few minutes. Felt like I was at grandmas house for dinner. We had chicken, whitefish and steak. Everything was good,... More

This was our second time here for lunch and we were happy we stopped. At 2pm during the week, the place was packed. Mostly older folks (60+). We sat at the bar and had great service. The perch sandwich and split pea soup were perfect. Great stop along the wine trail.

Stopped in for dinner our first night. The atmosphere was much nicer than we expected. The food was well prepared and the service was prompt and friendly.

Our group of six all had different meals for lunch and we all loved them. Our server, Monica, was a treasure - friendly, helpful with a sense of humor. The split pea soup was delicious, as were all the different sandwiches we had. It appears to be a favorite among the locals too. But don't drive too fast or you... More

Stopped by for lunch and dinner and they never disappoint. Very friendly staff, great bar chicken and peppermint ice cream for dessert. They also put up a wonderful Barnett's gin martini.

There is something cozy about this place. My husband and I came here a few years ago when we stayed in fishtown. We wanted to see if it had changed. It hadn't (which is a good thing). My husband ordered the veggie sandwich and a side of onion rings. He though both were fine. I ordered the perch sandwich and... More

Stopped in last Monday night, our first night in town after flying in to Traverse City and made the long-ish drive to Fischer's Happy Hour for the chicken noodle soup I remember so fondly. Last time I visited was probably 16-17 years ago and it was just as I remembered! Food and atmosphere hasn't changed which is great to see... More
