Velveeta Burger - yummy nostalgia

Redamak's is a well known hamburger place with a lot of noise and long waiting line. Yes the hamburgers are good but not worth waiting in line for. The Stray Dog has vetter burgers and much better atmosphere. Good place if you don't have to wait but basically just a hamburger joint.

It had been YEARS, I mean YEARS since I'd eaten here last. I was floored at how much bigger the place was. It was early in the season and yet still packed to the gills though we were seated right away and didn't wait long for a waitress or for our food. I can't imagine going during peak season though.... My family and I always go to Redamak's whenever we are up in New Buffalo. No matter what time of day, the food is always fantastic and the service always warming. We might have to wait, but the wait is totally worth it!

Food was great, service was fun, atmosphere was very kid friendly and comfortable! They only take cash, no credit. Busy, busy place so come early for dinner on the weekend so you don't have to wait too long.

This place is loud. The food is not that good. The service is not that good. It is a seasonal burger joint that is just not that impressive. As a kid I used to come here and seem to remember it better, but I was a kid. My guess is my parents want to please do either. Either way it's... More

Redamak's has been open since 1964 and the resort towns have grown up around it. They're known for their burgers and their Velveeta cheeseburger is mighty good but as the world has gotten smaller Redamak's really isn't that different anymore. To me it's like Five Guys without all the topping choices. The fries are ok but once again, not anything... More

I ordered a burger and fries. The meat was dry and flavorless. The sweet potato fries were not real ( processed out of a freezer garbage) . The ice tea was not real brewed. You can get you gut filled but I would not recommend this place if you want quality.

While staying at the nearby casino, the wife and I wanted to explore food options beyond the slots, and came across many suggestions for Redamak's, and boy are we glad we did. We ended up eating here twice in two days. The first time for dinner after finding a 2.5 hour wait at some other place. Wait at Redamak's was... More

Redamak's is like a restaurant that you might find on the old, famed Route 66. Let's face the fact that its success rests on the burgers being labeled "legends" and the patrons' nostalgia for the good old days. The burgers and sides are not old fashioned cheap, and both the service and the food quality are at best average.
