A great choice 30mn away from deauville

Fast service, peasant staff, excellent food, this restaurant is definitely worth the trip. Count 100€+ for two people. Only negative point : booking is a must but they place you near the other booked tables so you end up in z crowded space although there are plenty of other tables available

I wish more inns of this type existed in the UK - a place where the room is a reasonably-priced add-on to a crack-up set meal. WHen I was there I felt the decor was a bit tired but once I'd started to eat I forgot that entirely. A great little place, not far from Honfleur which, though classically chiming,... More

if you would like to experience a meal that is as good as dining in Paris and is also bon marché, this is the place for you. after a month in Normandy, we found le Cochon d'Or on our very last day. our 5 course lunch was superb with an extraordinary dimension of highly subtle and delicious seasoning and flavors.... I liked this place not only for the quality of the food, the attention and help of the manager and server. The dining room was comfortable and airy. I discovered too that it is a less expensive place to stay that others in the town.

From the moment we arrived this restaurant was amazing and we wish we gone both nights we were in the area. The staff were perfect. On sitting down a small sample was brought and judging by that we thought we in girl a treat. Each course got better and better (and starter was the best we ever eaten). Finishing with... More

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the location and atmosphere of this family run hotel with restaurant. The owner couldnt have been more accommodating. We mentioned that we were private chefs about to cook for a week in a local chateau and he kindly offered to take us to his wholesalers in Le Havre saving us hours of... More

We only ate here although our hotel booking was made for here- we were actually staying across the road at their sister hotel Le Petit Castel. The Auberge is 2star and the hotel 3 stars but they are both run by the same family. We received a very warm welcome at the Auberge and were directed 50 metres across the... More

What a great find! The service is fantastic. The surroundings are beautiful. The food is amazing and the wine list is extensive and also impressive! The set menus are the star, and extremely reasonable. if you are in the area I would certainly recommend it. Although it is more pricey than some surrounding restaurants it is well worth the money.... More

If you are on the way to Le Havre for a ferry crossing about 5.00 pm - stop here for lunch - this restaurant is superb. We had the Sunday lunch set menu for 27 Euros - could not fault a single course. We live in France and have a wonderful restaurant in our area (Charente) and this menu was... More
