Having read wonderful reviews of this restaurant, my husband and I decided to try it out. We were ignored for 15 mins, then the hostess begrudgingly gave us five seconds of her time. I asked for a table and got a lot of fast French thrown back at me which I couldn't understand. I politely explained we were English, hoping... More

Just a quick review to say if you get fed up of the food in Cordes, it's worth taking a trip up to the gorgeous village of Najac, and visiting this restaurant while you're at it. We had the midday menu (€13 for four courses!) and found the food delicious and the service delightful.

I can really only echo the earlier reviews in that this is a great find in a small rural village. We ate there this week and opted for the set menu lunch which was amazing in quality and quantity. The lunch set menu (menu de jour) provided us with 5 quality and plentiful courses as well as a small carafe... More

We turned up, without a reservation, for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were lucky to be offered one of only two unreserved tables in the outdoor seating area - it is rightly a popular restaurant. The food was well cooked and delicious, with some quirky "fine dining" presentation. The roquefort and nut salad was wonderful, and the confit duck... More

We were staying nearby at a campsite and were recommended to eat here. It was one of the best recommendations we have been given. We ate from the set menu and the food was beautifully presented and delicious, one of the best meals we have had in France in a long time. The service was very friendly too. We hope... More

If you enjoy great food and excellent wine in a beautiful location....this is it. The lunchtime fixed priced menu is unbelievable value for money, five course meal also wine and coffee included, all for 13 euros. In the evening we ate a la carte and the chef shows the highest quality cuisine, all the produce is fresh and locally sourced,... fabulous.... More

Great value set lunch with very good quality food. Service excellent and staff very attentive. It was full of locals which we thoroughly enjoyed, giving a good atmosphere. There was a pleasant terrace where we sat and had our coffee. We shall definitely go back.

This place was discovered by three friends and I purely by chance. Whilst riding motorbikes across the Pyrenees and up through France my journey on (on my motorbike ended) quicker than I would have liked, with a bit of a steering malfunction. Fortunately for me and my friends though the hedge that landed in was only a couple of hundred... More

My wife and I visit Mont Le Viaur everytime we get back to our little house based 20mn drive away. Service is great and efficient, food quality is perfect (I read one of the posters comments about the "baby food" issue. True but this is not a big deal). The Chef Mr Ballard, cooks using local fresh produces and has... More

We chose the prix fixe menu - 4 courses for 13 euros. coffee and wine were extra. Great service - and delicious food. It was a wet day so we ate inside - with round 40 others, so it was very warm with no air conditioning.
