We were party of seven, including an almost three year old child. We had salade with gesiers, rillete and foi gras mi cuit. Main courses, confit de d'oie, piece de boeuf and magret de canard. Dessert, creme brule with walnuts, walnut cake with icecream and vanillasaus and a enormous dessert with several wonderful things. Even the meal for the little... More

We have eaten here a few times now and always been very satisfied with the quality of the food and wine. The proprietors close the restaurant from November to spring, and use the winter to prepare their own confits, preserves, pates and fois gras. Their menus are centred around such products of the region, but there is enough choice to... More

We stayed in Hautefort for a week and visited this restaurant twice. It was always busy so I would advice booking. On both occasions the owner was very helpful, recommended dishes and spoke English when my French failed. All of the staff were friendly and there is a good, lively atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the fillet steak and I had... More

After eating at the neighbouring Auberge du Parc [50m away] the previous evening, we returned to Hautefort for the second time in two evenings. And this time, the result was more satisfying. The menu offered numerous options, including 13 euros for a main course and a dessert. Bingo! That's my kind of offer! The missus enjoyed her confit, though 25%... More

We had planned 2 go somewhere else on our final night in France but hadn't booked and it was full. We thought we would try this place as it had been recommended but we weren't hopeful we would get a table! As we were early we luckily got one of the last tables. What a lovely little restaurant! Our table... More

The food is a good variation of the local traditional fayre. The menu is a little confusing but Florence is friendly and will explain all, in English if required. Consistently good food which is becoming difficult to find in rural France.

Love the food here. Best Vegetarian option in the Dordogne! And the foie gras, my husband loves it! Kids menu was a good deal for the little ones, and Florence and Eric are really nice and accomodating! They even speak English, which is helpful. Definately going back

We are annual visitors to the Perigord, not just for its beauty but especially for its wines and cuisine. Hautefort, with its splendid hilltop chateau overlooking the valley, has become a place of pilgrimage. The shrine at which we worship? It's the Table d'Erillac, a small but perfectly formed resturant that will tickle any palace with its array of regional... More
