Sunday lunch essential choice

St Cyprien Sunday market is excellent. Great fruit & veg; great deli choices; some exotic options - and an excuse to have lunch after in Le Cro Marin. Don't hold the name against them. When planning a trip to St Cyprien, maybe for the Sunday market (one of the largest locally), I suggest you book a table at this restaurant - which is a fresh fish retail shop with around 10 tables (inside or outside). You will need to book, but that is easy either by phone or hitting the link on Trip Advisor... More

Had dinner here with my husband and 3 children and it was soo nice to find a restaurant that purely served fish/ seafood. If you dont eat either then there is no alternative. My husband enjoyed the fresh oysters and then the mussels, I went for a mixed platter and wasn't disappointed. The children children could choose between 2 types... More

This is a small very friendly little restaurant, many of the tables are outside under shades. We ate in the evening so did not have a chance to try the menu du jour. My husband eat a grilled sea bass, this was served with rice and a salad, and he found it excellent. My sea food cous cous was also... More

Delicious seafood in a lovely small town setting, with tables on the street near the fountain. Welcoming and warm service. Excellent seafood from the attached fishmonger. Stock up before you leave on top quality fish. All the fish is freshly prepared to order as are the sauces. Just taste the difference! Desserts are simple, home made and delicious. Run by... More

We went as a group of 4. Nice busy restaurant. I looked for a vegetarian option which was not available so, for the first time in many months I ate fish. This was no hardship as the food was delicious and fresh. The fish shop next door is obviously the supplier and they do this very well.

Couldn't wait to check Cro Marin one year later. It is still great and ideally positioned for sunny rays even at 7 - 8pm. We prefer dining a l'exterieur as it looks a little soulless inside. The fish soup and fish pie are exquisite. We also had a plate of 8 langoustines that were beautifully prepared. A cappuccino ice cream... More

You will easily find this restaurant and adjoining fish shop in the main street (next to the pizzaria). Excellent marine delicacies, friendly service, simple environment, tables on the street in good weather. Prices reasonable. We were there in September 2012 for Sunday lunch on a sunny afternoon. Divine.

A seafood restaurant and shop combined in the center of the main street in Saint-Cyprien. This is a gem and the service is delightful and so welcoming. We arrived at Le Cro Marin on a Friday at 8:30pm when most restaurants are in this region are thinking more about bedtime than new customers (!) but we were made to feel... More

Welcome alternative to most local restaurants. A fish restaurant in the Dordogne is a rarity but a decent one to boot - this would hold it's own anywhere. Sit outside if you can get a table.
