Only place we found open on a Sunday. Food bistros style, was good (we choose carefully). Staff were a bit stressed at end of a busy shift but relaxed as it got quieter. In summary it was average !

Although recommended by our host we found this restaurant lacking. The soup was OK but the quality of the meal declined from there. Two of the mains were extremely poor and the desserts were inedible.

Modern rush and push it sort of place. Very busy when we went (Sunday night) probably because nowhere else was open. Food wasn't bad but have had better, but the staff were just plain rude. I spoke to them in the best French I could but was met with ignorance. The waitress tried smiling as we paid the bill -... More

We sampled the menu du jour here whilst visiting the Blaye region on the hunt for their sumptuous vin rouge....the starter I had was mixed seafood (squid, clams, langustines) with chorizo, soft leaves, concasse peppers with a light french dressing....very nice. Main course was a bouillabaisse with new pots, dill, white snapper, prawns, trout, excellent, comforting bowl of goodness! To... More

Not sure what to expect after previous reviews but thus was a nice place to eat, we sat outside from 7pm and enjoyed a couple of drinks before our meals of steak/duck with salad and chips, and a bottle of red if course. Total 62 euro, not overly intrusive staff but friendly enough. Would definitely recommend it as a must... More

We ended up here for lunch in early February as we couldn't find anything else in the area open. It was okay, pretty basic food, nice service and atmosphere. (Lyonnaise Salad, overcooked tuna / Chicken wings, veal). Convenient quay side location across from the citadel. Okay for a quick sort of lunch.

Nicely located in front of the Blaye fortress, this small bistro offers diverse simple dishes of the french cuisine at reasonable prices. Friendly service when we visited it, even if I read here that some other visitors have been disappointed. The 1st courses were all good while for the main course we had various opinions: The roasted veal was OK... More

We were sorry to see that some diners had poor experiences here. On a Monday evening when most other places were closed the restaurant was quite busy. As a result my first choice of entrecôte was unavailable and having been looking forward to it all day I was a little disappointed. The alternative offered however (faux fillet) was as good... More

Local hangout which is a good sign. Quality varies from good to very good. Service is excellent. Helpful & cheerful lot pumping out lots of tucker for tourist & 'faces' alike. We struggled to finish the generous portions in the 3 course 'fixed price' lunch @ 13 euro topped off with an excellent Blaye Rose kept chilled in cute ice/H20... More

We stayed in Blaye for a few days primarily looking for wine experiences. Unfortunately, due to public holidays, most of Blaye was closed. About the only place open was Le Petit Port, so we ate there twice. On both occasions the food was good and reasonably priced. One the first occasion we had veal in cream sauce which was OK,...
