Nice place to stop in for coffee and/or dessert--their selection is great. Also have found great baguettes here on occasion. Prices are very reasonable.

As part of the Culinary Institute, first be prepared to be amazed at how yummy the desserts are. Simply delicious! Great smoothies, polite service from the students & their teachers, so just be prepared to be amazed. Jelly-roll with a light filling is perfect as an afternoon treat with a fresh cup of coffee. The prices are excellent, especially for... More

The Sweet Spot is located within Baker College's Culinary Institute (CIM) in downtown Muskegon. As such, students make all of the treats and beverages. The Sweet Spot has amazing smoothies and I always stop here when in downtown Muskegon! You get a great value for what you pay given that they are charging similar to what they pay for materials... This was a nice place for us to have a coffee and take a break on our Friday afternoon in downtown Muskegon. The barrista was very friendly and even made a fresh pot of coffee when we commented that our coffee wasn't very hot. The only criticism is that they didn't have much selection of pastries, probably due to the... More

This place has got to have the best desserts anywhere. And at only $2.50 for the 'specialty desserts' the price is right also. The service was only average. Surprisingly, there were very few people for 10:00 on a Saturday morning. But the coffee (actually, latte) was very good and the dessert was excellent. The cannoli is a must.

We were visiting my granddaughter, who is a student at CIM. We had visited before and enjoyed pastries from the Sweet Spot so this time we included a trip to Courses Restaurant which is in the same building and is also part of the school. The food was fantastic and the service great. Everything is done by students, there is... More

We took a trip to Muskegon area to pick up my neice from Blue Lake Camp and decided to stay the night at the Holiday Inn. Accross the street wasa a very nice looking brick building that caught our eye, it was the Culinary Institute of Michigan. They had a Coffee House called the Sweet Spot in the building, so... More
