I went for lunch here but their lunch time is restrict. So you should check the time before go over. I like their galbi soup it is very delicious and i am used to visiting for lunch or dinner sometimes. Also suwon hwasung near this restaurant is good to take a short walk after meals. I recommend here if you... More

This is a BBQ place, I traveled alone and had to order about portions for 2 (about US$48) for the marinated beef. I was there at 2pm so it was only half full (cause I figured they would probably have more willingness to service a single customer) I have not tried much BBQ in Seoul but the food and variety... Located near the fortress wall where the Hwahongmun Gate (northern water gate) is, we followed the scent of grilled meat and found ourselves in front of this restaurant. Seeing a queue, we figured this was the place to have a meal. Do note that there is no English menu. Sign and pointing language is extremely important here. We just pointed... More

N37°17.259' E127.01.003' Suwon is famous for a local variety, whereby the regular meat dish is given a salty seasoning. In a quiet area next to the northern water gate in the fortress wall lies Yeonpo Galbi, known for its galbi meat. Galbi meat is rather expensive and the jeongsik (set menu), which include several small fish, vegetable and gimchi dishes,... More

This restaurant is conveniently located close to the fortress walls. We noticed that tourists often order BBQ which is expensive and it's not the most popular choice among the locals. It seems that the specialty here is the short rib soup. At least it was the dish that everyone was having while we where there. We had it and it... More

We went there as it was recommended in Lonely Planet Seoul. It was right near the fortress wall (close to the archery). As often in Korea even thou it was a pricier restaurant it does have a very modest look. You could choose between normal tables and sitting on the floor. The menu was only in Korean and the staff... A good standard Korean Galbi restaurant. Side dishes were good. We had the BBQ ribs marinated and unmarinated both were good, but over 30,000w per serving. Galbi-tang(soup) seemed reasonable priced, but we did not have any. The atmosphere was not anything spectacular. It is located close to the wall and walking distance from the main fortress entrance where the dragon... More

Or so we were told. Suwon was the birthplace of "Kalbi" according to the worker there. This restaurant is one of two good Kalbi Restaurants located in Suwon, South Korea, based upon information from the tourist kiosk. Located inside the fortress, it was easy to find, and the food was tasty. We had one order of the marinated Kalbi and... More

This place is a good stop if you are making a day trip out of hwaseoung. The food is delicious and you will have about twenty plates on the table. Not much for atmosphere but free internet. The name is not written in English but it is just down the stairs from budong poru. The Kalbi is 33000 pp. not... More
