First Stop on the List

When you arrive in Vigan, go straight to this restaurant to get your fill of Pinakbet, Bagnet and sinigang na Malaga fish. This restaurant will allow you to get acquainted with basic Ilokano food. Unfortunately it is always full so either patiently wait for your food or just go somewhere else... read more

Out of all the "must-trys" in Vigan, this was what I enjoyed the most. They are popular for their pizza and Filipino dishes. I was able to try some of their best sellers and I was blown away by how great the food tastes. It's a little pricey but it's well worth every centavo. Don't let the "old" exterior fool... More

Pizzas are seriously good. Can get busy in the evenings (although we were there for a public holiday so might not always be the case) so get there early. Can sit outside in the evening on the cobbled street, nice atmosphere.

It was the height of the Binatbatan Festival, after the parade along Calle Crisologo when our bucket list indicated we should eat in Cafe Leona, a famous Vigan landmark name after the famous poet/author whose statue lords over the exterior of the restaurant (fronting another eating establishment known for their chicken). Imagine the long queue, impatient patrons and panic in... More

The pizza we had here was good. The main problem is the restaurant is divided into two parts. One looks like a wine cellar, the other part inside is cosy and inviting. The smoking area is in the cosy part, non smokers are relegated to the dark side. Other diners complained but were told the same thing, "Its the smoking... More

food is just okay. but the service, my gosh. never dine here if you are coming from a bad day or you are very hungry because it will make it worse. staff recapped our order, but the entree never arrived in. when asked, she said we never ordered that entree. okay, we are liars then.

Cafe leona is accessible via Calle Crisologo, you can't miss it when you go to this place..we had dinner, saw them setting up the tables outside which I thought was cool way to eat dinner. I approached the ladies in the counter and asked for a reservation as it was only 6pm, we plan to have dinner after we we... More

They are open past 10pm which is good because most of the places in Vigan are closed by that time. They have a good number of waiters but it isn't enough because of the endless amount of people pouring in. Order the specialties of Vigan (longanisa and bagnet) but also try their attempts at reinventing said specialties, such as the... More

Well we went here yesterday but we weren't able to try their food because of their poor service. Once you entered the restaurant they won't even bother greeting you. I talked to the waiter and asked if there is any available table and told me "waiting na sir". Afterwards I entered the other room at the restaurant and there were... More

When we got to the Cafe Leona, the entrance was very confusing. We asked for the guys outside where the right door was. When we opened the door, the waiter didn't even greet us. We asked for the lady at the cashier if there's a table for two. She pointed the other door where it seemed like a bodega. We... More
