not the largest market but tasty fast food. most of the stalls offer similar things so look to see which one has the best common item. try the noodles at the second stall on right from the entrance. most of the fried stuff is cold and sometimes soggy so try and check if possible if you value that... read more

Choose your own food - and eat at one of the tables within the market's midst. I would recommend the lady in the middle of the roofed area - choose your ingredients, put them in a basket - and she will cook the most amazing soup within minutes!!

I was luckily so hungry when I entered this night market! My boyfriend and I started with buying a half duck and some pork belly from the vender on the immediate right from the main entrance. Though this was quite filling, we felt compelled to try more things. We walked deeper inside the market (back left corner of the covered... More

Why waste your money on either overpriced and/or not well prepared Western food if you're traveling in Asia? Also on Luang Namtha's night market you can find very delicious Asian and Lao flavors you shouldn't miss out on! Start at dusk with some cheap Beer Laos' and some spring rolls (the steamed ones with peanut sauce are excellent). And continue... More

The night market is a hive of activity after the sun sets. From the good humoured Akha ladies selling their bracelets and bags, or whatever else you fancy, to the good natured dogs that lurk longingly at your feet for a tit bit of food, this place has a great atmosphere. It's a great place to get talking to fellow... More

You have to visit the Night Market. Don't leave too late as you'll left with food that's been hanging around and the place gets grotty. Get there before 7 and you'll be rewarded with succulent duck and chicken. Be brave and head into the back for authentic local foods. The ladies will let you try before you buy, so get... More

We had a lot of fun here. Nice local food and great atmosphere. The fun started when we discovered Auntie La's locally produced whiskeys... we tried all of them. The dogs were quite annoying, they should do something about it. Life music would make the place even better.
