This is the only way this restaurant can survive is to have a groupon open all the time. The parking lot tells the truth.

I found a Groupon Coupon and it was worth it. I grew up eating with my parents at Joe's but haven't been there in a few years. This has been a staple in Monroe's history for places to eat. It was the same as I remembered. Good service and great food. You won't be disappointed.

Skip eating at chains. When traveling highways, we usually are faced with monotonous menus and food that rarely tastes good and never has any flavor. Take a moment to find a local restaurant - consult the AAA or ask at your hotel desk and you will great tasting food at reasonable rates. Eat where the locals eat is our strategy.... More

My first restaurant memory was sitting a the bar of Joe's French Italian Inn while my parents finished their dinners nearby. This was more than 50 years ago. The young bartender was very kind to chat with me. Many of the same people are still affiliated with the restaurant. The food is always good, service is prompt and it is... More

seated immediately and asked what we would like to drink. given time to look over the menu. The food was good, and my wife's Mai Tai's were excellent. A pleasant dinner, overall.

The waitress was sweet and nice but there were drought's in the service. The calamari was too moist. The prime rib was average and not fatty which I was happy. This is your average Roadhouse and I would not make a special trip but it was ok.

Went there for the first time, we took advantage of a groupon offer. The French onion soup tasted like from a packet. I ordered the fish sampler, disgusting. Everything including scallops were deep fried. My husband had a steak, which was OK, however the sauce had a film on it by the time it was served, so it was sitting... More

Charged me for food I didn't ask for. She took my order 10 minutes later she comes back telling me they can't make my food because they had ran out. Food was luke warm. Sever was rude as could be. I would not come back here again!

Joe's has been a part of Frenchtown in Monroe forever. Well, the last 80 years of forever, anyway. It has a very cozy local feel. If one is an out-of-towner, one could feel out of place there, but that would not be the fault of the friendly staff. The food is exactly what you would expect: Italian dishes, prime rib,... More

Went to Joe's for the first time last night for a birthday party. The people in our party who ordered the Chicken Piccante said it was disgusting. I ordered the lite perch dinner. It was good, but not great. My husband ordered the prime rib, again it was good, but not great. The majority of the food that came to... More
