While spending a long weekend in Monroe, MI I searched the internet for restaurants. Bolles Harbor Cafe was just up the road from the campground I was at. I dined there Friday night on Pan Fried Walleye. My meal was Outstanding. Chef Silverio Conte, who serves his own creations and traditional favorites, came out of the kitchen to see how... More

Food is usually good here but it frequently takes a long time to receive your meal. Servers do the best job they can but it seems to just take a long time to get served. Particularly annoying is when they run out of food, pizza dough, salad dressing, daily special, etc. How in the world can that happen?? Owner is... More

We had a intimate dinner there with friends on a Saturday evening! The food was delicious! The chef came out and welcomed us and the service was excellent. The atmosphere of the cafe is nautical and very fitting for the location across from the harbor. It was a very enjoyable evening and we highly recommend the Bolles Harbor Cafe!

I will start by giving credit to the server, Jaime and owner, Connie for trying to please me, but in the end, the meal was another huge disappointment, with a huge bill to match. Two over-cooked, tough and flavorless steaks politely returned, resulted in the same on the third try, yet I was too over it to say anymore, and took... More

Party of three...each ordered something simple from the lunch menu. Waitress came back three different times to advise us of some missing ingredient to our order....bread, salad dressing, Cole slaw. It took 30 minutes for the food to arrive, and only after I asked what was going on in the kitchen. Food was marginal, perch was heavily breaded and oily.... More

I ordered a 4 item large pizza for takeout and should have been charged 13.55. Instead, I was charged and extra $1.95 because I asked for plenty of sauce. The pizza was one of the worst I have had. Very little sauce, little cheese, cardboard like crust, extra sausage tasted like finely ground beef and not italian sausage, pineapple was... More

Too expensive for the "atmosphere", Table cloths are worn and faded, only a single unisex bathroom. Salad greens were showing rust, dressing was in little plastic take out containers. Dinners were only ok, nothing memorable. Although the restaurant across the street was packed, we were the only customers in the cafe. Waitress was friendly and prompt, but the place is... More

We tried Bolles Harbor Cafe to have something new. The parking lot was about half full. The harbor inn and ale across the street was packed. We didn't wanna wait so we went inside the cafe. The prices are pretty high. The food portions were stingy. I ordered the Belgian waffle with berries and whipped cream. Even after I spread... More

Just ate there last night and the service was terrible! Took forever to take our drink orders. Coffee was bottom of the pot, barely got a refill when I had to ask for one and then the server makes a new pot when we are ready to leave and asks if we want some more, said no thank you and... More
