This place closed over a year ago -why is this listing still on tripadvisor? Does tripadvisor not care about being accurate?

Unfortunately, this restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Monroe, has closed. According to an article in the local newspaper, the owner is still offering their catering services.

The exposed brick and dim lighting made for a romantic but casual setting and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. The menu is small but interesting and tasty.

Behind an unpretentious store front lies the Monroe Street Grill. It is a simple but tastefully decorated narrow restaurant with an interesting menu. I started with a good Caesar salad followed by the Monroe Street Grille. This is a flat iron steak accompanied by a reduced veal stock, red wine, and balsamic vinegar sauce with mushrooms and came with asparagus... More

Had spinach artichoke eggs Benedict, very tasty, good service, and pleasant atmosphere. Plate of eggs arrived beautifully garnished with a lovely side of fruit. Will definitely go there again.

My wife and I have become 'regulars' at Monroe Street Grill because it's simply a place that serves interesting meals at good prices that are far more thought and care put into them than the typical from-the-restaurant-supply-company-to-you fare that so often dominates cafes in small towns. Among my favorites: superb lasagna, best burgers in town, Caribbean salmon and (when I... More

When you get to The Hotel Sterling walk down and check their hours so you can catch an excellent meal with them.

Unique and varied menu. A bit higher priced for the area, but well worth it. Great breakfast selections. Always full and satisfied.

A+ for presentation on their dishes. The salmon was great but didnt care for the roasted pepper sauce on the ravioli. I hadnt ever had "potstickers" before and tried them here and they were SO good. Ambiance kind of lacks a bit and there's no alcohol.
