Mimosas

My best friend and I love to meet here on the weekends in the morning for an upscale breakfast experience. Starting with mimosas and ending with amazing cappuccinos.

I wish there were more restaurants of this quality and elegance. Excellent service from friendly people who engage in conversation and make you feel special. Great food, beautiful presentation.

This restaurant is one of two in the H Hotel -- Midland and probably the Tri-Cities' premiere hotel. This is where restaurant guests dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner while The Table is a high-end, elegant dinner place. I've enjoyed several breakfasts at the Zinc. Each (all egg dishes) were beautiful presented and a bit unusual among breakfast fare. Portions... More

Café Zinc is without a doubt the best "fancy" restaurant in Midland. It is great for dates and for entertaining guests (especially since it is attached to the H Hotel). People I know, from locals to those who live an hour's drive away, view this as a special-occasion restaurant and that's probably a good category for it. Zinc is definitely... More

We decided to get a few appetizers and salads prior to the dinner. The oysters Rockefeller were very tasty, the french fry appetizer left a little to be desired, slightly over salted and not what you would expect to eat a place like this. The Caesar salad prior to dinner was also For dinner I decided to get the braised... More

Café Zinc is one of the best restaurants in Midland, though best for breakfast. We've only visited Zinc once for dinner and we weren't super impressed with our dishes, especially for the price. However, breakfast is very good. Lunch is also good. We like that the menu is constantly changing and the ingredients are fresh. The staff is very friendly... More

Have tried this restaurant several times. Usually for breakfast which has never met expectations. Chefs unfamiliar with soft scrambled eggs present an unpalatable fried version of poorly mixed eggs. When visiting for lunch the waitress ignored telling us the specials while we struggled to find something worthwhile from the menu. The French Onion Soup was EXCELLENT. But Beet salad appeared... Had a business dinner here, skipped the appetizer to save room for desert. The salmon I ordered was nicely cooked and the sides were tasty. If only they fixed this house salad of theirs. Just a few leaves of cheap lettuce wit tomato. Really out of tune to the rest of the food. No imagination! The Desert was nice as... More

We are from the area and have had many nice meals here. Last visit was not one of those. Our waitress in training was nice, however, her "supervisor" was efficient to the point of rudeness. The soup was very good seafood chowder, but the meal went downhill from there. Filet ordered as the evening's special was so-so and not very... More

There's really nothing like it in the tri-city area. It's always a special dining experience. A great place for lunch too. The servers are always very attentive and friendly without hovering or inappropriate. Just excellent service. The food is different from the usual fare. I had a wonderful Pumpkin/apple quiche for lunch. It was served with a small salad and... More
