Description: For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family...
For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family - and beaten the odds. How rare is this achievement? According to Family Business Review more than 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation. Twelve percent will still be viable into the third generation, with three percent of all family businesses operating at the fourth-generation level and beyond. Schuler's, a four-generation, family-owned restaurant in Marshall, Michigan is an institution. Schuler's attributes its longevity to the foresight of our founder and the succeeding family members who have used their entrepreneurial skills to build a 100-year tradition of hospitality and fine dining.

Enjoyed good service, tasty food and a delightful setting. Have been happy with my dining experiences at Winstons for the twenty years we've lived in Marshall. Highly recommend the Swiss onion soup.

Stopped by on our way home from Battle Creek to Jackson. Swiss onion soup is always a must order! Beef brisket flatbread was something new and delicious! Turkey Reuben is another favorite! Our server, Julie, was very professional. The only issue tonight was the whitefish we ordered for $20 and the piece was very small. Literally finished in 5 bites.... More

I have been dining at Win Schuler's for more than 40 years and I am convinced that they are one of the finest restaurants anywhere. Most recently I stopped in for lunch when I found that I would be in the area, and had the best hamburger that I have ever had - this is at 65 years old! It... More

Excellent service from the minute we walked in the door until the time we walked out! We entered into a very friendly, welcoming environment and experienced this throughout our visit. We were on our way home from a long trip, stopping for a restful meal, before continuing on our journey home and that is exactly what we experienced. The food... More

We went here on a whim, not knowing what to expect, and had a great meal. Cost a bit more then we were expecting, but the food was quit good and we had a great meal. The service was great and I enjoyed looking around at the art and history on the walls. Would recommend for a nice meal out... More

We stopped here while passing through on a family trip. We were looking for an alternative to fast food. The food and services were top notch. The salmon sandwich was particularly good. The kids enjoyed their mini pizzas. Our visit was for lunch. I am sure the dinner selection is excellent, also. This is a fourth generation family owned business... More

Staying at the National House Inn, dinner for two was included with the "Perfect Package." My Prime Rib was perfectly hot pink medium and tender (unlike some prime ribs that are overdone and tough). The Seafood Chowder was hearty with lots of seafood. Classic Schuler's Salad was generously portioned with crisp with flavorful tomatoes, bacon bits, cucumbers and cheese. Lake... More

A great stopping place if you are on I 94 and need a break. I never had better Mushroom soup, Diverse menu and decent wine selection. Classic decor, kind of "Somewhere in Time" ish. In the charmingly quaint town of Marshall ( Michigan's first Capital). The Winston Pub, which is attached , is a good place to get a drink.... More
