Description: For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family...
For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family - and beaten the odds. How rare is this achievement? According to Family Business Review more than 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation. Twelve percent will still be viable into the third generation, with three percent of all family businesses operating at the fourth-generation level and beyond. Schuler's, a four-generation, family-owned restaurant in Marshall, Michigan is an institution. Schuler's attributes its longevity to the foresight of our founder and the succeeding family members who have used their entrepreneurial skills to build a 100-year tradition of hospitality and fine dining.

The food was great!! Had the fish and chips and it was perfectly good. Also had the beef brisket and I didn't eat any but it looked great! One more meal was the fried chicken which I got and it was perfectly done and the mashed potatoes with gravy were great!! The only problem that we had was that... read more

The service and food was very good----our waiter was very amicable----very helpful. We both had burgers. They were cooked to perfection-----and I must say they were thick, juicy and hot !! Love my food hot off the flame----that, how to let your customer know you seek their satisfaction----we recommend Schuler's highly. Only one let down--the prices were too high---The burger... More

Schuler's is a Historic Site and lives up to the distinction. They serve delicious food and have a quaint atmosphere. I especially love the whitefish.

Ordered the Schuler's onion soup and Schuler's meatballs. Both tasted processed. I have had better "bar" food than this food. I had not been in Marshall, MI for several years and was anxious to try Schuler's again. I will not go there again. The only bright spot was our waiter who was very friendly, attentive and mixed a great Vodka... More

I love the City of Marshall, Michigan and particularly enjoy stopping at Schuler's Restaurant & Pub when nearby. The food and service are always top notch and you can't beat the atmosphere. After lunch stop in the lobby and purchase a bag of crackers and cheese, for the trip home.

We sat on the pub side. Overheard another waitress telling her table that you could order off the restaurant or bar menu (we would have liked to have known that before we ordered, too late). It took a long time for us to get our first round of drinks. We placed our order and again, found out from another waitress... More

The service here is always amazing! Food is also delicious, always! Try a salad with salmon on it, it is the best salmon I have ever had.

We were seated quickly. Food was great, but our server was slow and rarely checked in us. My boyfriend had steak and I had fish. The drink I asked for they were out of and our waitress made us feel like we were putting her out when I asked for a different one.

Schuler's restaurant has been a never-pass-up dining destination of mine for nearly 17 years. The only reason I do not give then a 5 is they have changed to small plastic containers for the cheese and other condiments. This is a major faux pas as I see this as a defining factor between fine dining and your average family restaurant... More
