How to spend a delightful "downhome evening"

This has got to be the best turkey dinner short of Mom's. And we have seen 3 of the dinner shows, and all have been delightful. Granted, the entire facility is somewhat "downhome almost corny" but such a delightful change from the ordinary, high pressure living/eating we all seem to do these... read more

Stopped for lunch today on the way to Detroit. Buttered Turkey sandwich moist and at a good price. Happy to see that they were busy. Many family businesses just can't continue to make it, so we were happy to see everyone around. Their schedule shows special events almost every weekend year round.

Stopped last spring on a cold, windy (even snowy) day. Ordered the Turkey Hot Bun and my husband ordered the Turkey Hot Biscuit. Both of us were sadly disappointed. The turkey, while in gravy, seemed overcooked and dry. I had mashed potatoes and they tasted like potato flakes whipped into mashed potatoes. The cranberries consisted of about 4 whole cranberries... We stopped at Turdyville for the Turkey Dinner Menu on our way to the Holland tulip Festival last year and really enjoyed out lunch. I ordered the Coconut Cr. Pie with my Turkey dinner (which was very good and Hot) and my two friends ordered Turkey Sandwichs and Pies also. We went out back after to a nice Flea Market... More

We live in Marshall and whenever we have friends visit us in spring, summer or fall we take them to lunch or dinner here. It is an "original" Marshall experience.....we don't go much in winter as it is in the country and travel out there is sometimes difficult. The hot turkey dinner is excellent as well as the buttered turkey... More

Passed through here and only had one day. The campground is immaculate. The sites are level with ample room. Not many trees here. The pool and facilities are clean and in great shape. The campground staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is cafeteria style and the prices are medium-high for what you get. The food is average, although the... More

Cornwell's is the place to go for a really good turkey sandwich, homemade ice cream, great bakery items or a fresh turkey to cook at home. They are simple stated, making it kind of touristy, thus the buses you may see outside, but be assured, the food you'll get is top notch ! It's just a fun place with good... More

This was our THIRD time to Cornwell's (May 2010, May 2011) each time for turkey dinner buffet and show/play. First of all for those who've not been there, this is a dinner/theatre, but also has a turkey restaurant, a food counter w/popcorn, ice cream, fudge, etc. and a large general store. The plays/shows are EXCELLENT - fun, entertaining, easy to... More

I've been going to Turkeyville for many years to the flea market, the arts & crafts shows and the dinner theater. Sadly, it all just keeps going downhill. There seems to be fewer and fewer vendors for the outside shows every time I go. Years ago the dinner theater was one of the best show venues around, but the productions... More

Visited this place upon a recommendation from a local hotel. On the outside, it looks like a nice, well-kept family restaurant. On the inside, it's a tired and rundown mess. Bathrooms were dirty at 11:30 am. The counter where we ordered was infested with flies. The turkey dinner consisted of boxed mashed potatoes, bland turkey slices, and dry stuffing covered... More
