THE place for craft beer

One of the best craft breweries in the U.S. Friendly, funky and always good beer and food. Locals and people from all over the Midwest stop by for a great time. Try a sapient in the summer months and Plead the Fifth whenever it's on tap.

We stayed in Marshall for 4 days and we ended each day at Dark Horse. It had a great atmosphere and friendly people. The first night we were there we meet quite a few locals and some other travelers. Good beer and good discussions. We also ate there a few times and all the items we had were delicious. We... More

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful day at the brewery. The atmosphere was great and the beer even better. DO NOT MISS THE TOUR! It is super relaxed and interesting and the tasting samples are amazing!

Easy going atmosphere and everyone seems to enjoy it. A lot of locals frequent it with their very own mug which hangs in it's place waiting for the next visit. (To get the mug is an event in and of itself) so if you're a beer lover this is the place for you! Head there early if you want to... More

This is a very cool place. It's pet friendly (must be on leash). Has beer and food. There is a cool mug program and outdoor seating. I want to list the bad first. Like any microbrewery they have a list of beers that are available. We sat outside and I was worried about the beer menu blowing away so I... More

Excellent brown and black beer, and the calzone! Great place to go. Not far from hotels. Just the club members mugs are worth the stop, all hand made by the owners friend, no two seem to be the same. Friendly wait staff...My waitress was Banana (yeah, not kidding) very knowledgeable about the beers and gave me a taste of each... More

Love the Dark Horse for their great beers and regular awesome sandwiches and pizza. Saturday was a special treat as nearly fifty different people and groups smoked tasty ribs and brusquet. It was a fundraiser for a local charity and food tickets were 1 dollar each. Just 5 tickets bought enough food for most eaters. Their expanded beer garden opens... More

We stopped in for lunch and a beer. The place was crowded and don't be surprised if you have to share a table with other people. We were lucks and were able to sit with an employee who was on his lunch break. He explained the different types of beers to us and when I told him I like the... More

We visited Dark Horse for dinner and the tour. The pizza was good, but nothing amazing, however the tour was something to go back for. The guide was great, had a fun time with our group. At the end we went up to the tasting room, tried a variety of beers, some not even available, and just had a great... More

We stop here often and they have an excellent beer selection. The decor is cool with all the mugs hanging from the ceiling. In warmer weather they have an outdoor area that they open and have bands. Visit the gift shop for a cool shirt! Cheers!
