Time to get down and messy

Stopped by on a Thursday night. The place is not easy to find, but well worth the search. This place has genuine Cajun cooking. I had the BBQ Shrimp which is not grilled but cooked like a stew you take the shrimp and pop off the heads and peel them and then dunk them with the liquid to get all... read more

I adore cajun cuisine and this fun little restaurant did not disappoint! Try the Catfish Ponchartrain---it's delicious!

You gotta look for this place...but once you find it you will return. Lagniappe is one of the UP's special eateries. My wife and I share the order which makes it, in my opinion, the best plate of food in the Upper Peninsula. We order the Crab Cakes (with white sauce only...trust me, it is delicious), the shrimp and bow... More

Living in Michigan there aren't a lot of options for Cajun/Creole in most places and the ones I have found in SE Michigan where I live are just so-so. I've had the real thing in the real place and I know what I'm looking for. Lagniappe's is it. I could eat here a lot - if I lived 456 miles... More

I was in Marquette for work. I was shocked to see a Cajun restaurant! I figured I had to give it a try. I'm certainly no Cajun expert, so take this review with a grain of salt. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I tried their seafood Bouillabaisse. It was pretty good. It was just the right heat level... More

Good ones are hard to find. This place had the good hush puppies, so of course all the rest was good too. OUTSTANDING service; super-smart, bubbly waitress. Don't forget to sample all the hot sauces!

Have been all over in New Orleans. The passion and food at Lagniappe are in line with any great authentic New orleans meals I've had. Lagniappe is always consistant and the flavors and service fantastic.

The food was terrible, my girlfriend and I googled the best place to eat in Marquette and regrettably this restaurant came up. I ordered the Jambalaya, it was bland and the chicken was tough. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits and she is currently sick from just four bites. The only good note was our server.

Because I am allergic to onion, I am careful what I eat. I know the shrimp tasso bowtie pasta is onion-free. Unfortunately, today it was also tasso free. Everything else about this dish is fabulous so if you run out of tasso, please just throw some Andouille sausage in there!!!!
