If you are blind folded and brought into the restaurant you would not think of Marquette. Eating the cuisine you would swear you were in New Orleans. Now the parking is just ok. Do not freak out with the walk in, just different. The sitting is open. A bit noisy but acceptable. The menu is large... read more

First time visiting asked the waiter what he recommended he opened the 3 page menu and just said this pointing to the whole menu I said nothing he finally asked what I was looking for, had I known I would have ordered it. Second time we were meeting friends they would not seat us because we were missing 3 of... More

We apologize for your poor experience. As for your first point, I think the waiter was just trying to have fun with you. We get so many guests that come in regularly for just about everything on our menu. We don't necessarily recommend any specific things as we try to find out what YOUR interests are and point you in... More

I love Cajun food, but the prawns and the sauces had a flavour I couldn't recognise. To be honest it had a sort of a fragrant soap thing going on! Collards were greasy and bland Not good. Fries were good. Service was faultless. My son's o'boy was similarly disappointing.

We wished you could have brought these concerns to our attention while you were dining with us so we could either re-cook or find something else on our menu that was more to your liking. I've had Cajun in New Orleans. My husband enjoyed it. I did not. The hush puppies were ok. A little dry for me. I know they are usually a dryer food so that is to be expected. The meat was fatty and the chicken in the jambalaya was really chewy. The beignets were bland and not sweet at all except... More

This is our favorite restaurant. My husband and I enjoy dining here quite often. They have delicious food and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I love the deep wooden booth and the live music - Cajun style is an added component. I've tried various entrees and appetizers and have enjoyed all of them. This restaurant could be used by... More

Downtown Marquette enjoys a taste of the Bayou! Extensive Cajun menu with authentic preparation and taste! Heard the chef is from the south, cannot confirm that however the food was great! Decorated to reflect the taste too. Waitress was very helpful with questions and willing to suggest. If you're looking for something different when up north make sure to stop.... More

A few of my husband's coworkers made some recommendations for restaurants and Lagniappe was among them. We are so glad we chose to go there, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Our waitress, Erin, was wonderful, giving us recommendations when we asked (but not pushing anything on us), which we did two or three times. She never... More

We had a fantastic lunch yesterday. The service was great with the server very willing to explain and promote certain foods. Every time a server went by they would inquire if we need dandy thing. I had the seafood bisque and it was the best I have had in Mi. I also had their signature salad with cherries, blue cheese... More

My husband and I ate at Lagniappe last weekend. I had the boulliabaise and my husband had the crab cakes. Neither entree was good. His crab taste like canned tuna fish. The service was good and the ambiance was ok.

My name is Rob and I am the dining manager here at Lagniappe. I am curious that if you didn't like your entrees of the Crab Chops and Bouillabaisse, why didn't you alert your server? We would have been more than happy to make you something else to help you leave happy. We can't fix your dining experience if you... More

Lagniappe has become our favorite restaurant to visit in Marquette. Where else in the UP are you going to find such amazing shrimp n'grits and creme brulee(orange accented)? I am not usually one for spicy, but this is on edge for heat, but the taste compensates. The band that plays there is wonderful bluesy music, not too loud to interfere... More
