New Orleans of the North

Have been all over in New Orleans. The passion and food at Lagniappe are in line with any great authentic New orleans meals I've had. Lagniappe is always consistant and the flavors and service fantastic.

The food was terrible, my girlfriend and I googled the best place to eat in Marquette and regrettably this restaurant came up. I ordered the Jambalaya, it was bland and the chicken was tough. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits and she is currently sick from just four bites. The only good note was our server.

Because I am allergic to onion, I am careful what I eat. I know the shrimp tasso bowtie pasta is onion-free. Unfortunately, today it was also tasso free. Everything else about this dish is fabulous so if you run out of tasso, please just throw some Andouille sausage in there!!!!

I was in Marquette for a day for work and found this through Tripadvisor. It was surprisingly good. The seafood bisque was very good and the crawfish étouffée was good as well. Service was okay, but I would go back for the food.

We just ate here tonight and really enjoyed the meal. I was surprised and thrilled to find that they had a gluten free menu and they even had gluten free breading! I was able to have the fried pickles because the breading was gluten free and they were delicious. I had the jambalaya and my husband had a po boy... More

this place is OK. Cajun is not my cup of tea so don't rely on my opion. If you like Cajun you might like the place. Good luck.

We have been to this establishments many times and have never once had poor service, subpar food or drink. The atmosphere is festive, the staff are well trained and know their food, and the menu is diverse, authentic Cajun. This is a can't-go-wrong bet.

Sure it isn't NOLA, but it is very good given the geographical constraints of the UP. Po-boy, jambalaya, and hush puppies were all great along with a Huuricane and Abita beer. Service, including manager, were efficient and friendly.
