My first impression was excitement due to the buzzing atmosphere and the eclectic decor. Then when I started reading the menu, that's when the real excitement hit me. So many varied and interesting choices. Since my taste buds don't appreciate too spicy, I was a bit concerned it might be too much. Far from it. You can choose 7 levels... More

Went here in August while in town on business. I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch that day, so I had a real appetite. I ordered the "Big Mamou Platter".. fries, frog legs, catfish, shrimp, crawdad tails, coleslaw and 4 hush puppies. The fish was pretty tasty, frog legs were froggy (in a good way), the gosh puppies kicked butt and... More

great find, but no live gaters---good food, friendly staff. Nice to find this, so far from New Orleans.

Cajun chicken salad was great. Tried the boiled crawfish - very good. Owner even came to table to show us how to eat it as we had never had it before. Live band played while we had dinner. Will definitely go back!

If you are looking for some southern comfort food, you definitely need to hit up Lagniappe in down town Marquette. A link to the rest of my blog review is below: http://smalltowngirlfoodieworld.blogspot.com/2014/07/lagniappe-taste-of-new-orleans-in-up.html

My teenage Son and I were visiting friends in Marquette, We all ate Dinner there. It was very good. Great Atmosphere, Drinks and Food. My son had frogs legs and catfish, I had Cajun blackened fish. The service was wonderful and the owner came over to each table to check how everyone enjoyed the food. Highly Recommended if you every... More

My wife and I ate here two nights ago. Pleasant, slightly loud, sports-bar ambience in a basement. Good wine and beer selections. Pretty much everything was very good: Fresh oysters; jambalaya; blackened catfish were all very good. But do avoid the crab cakes. They were 90% breading; 5% vegetables and seasonings; and a maximum of 5% crab meat. In fact,... More

Visited Lagniappe for the 1st time this weekend. Danielle was our server and did a terrific job of explaining things to us and making sure that we were satisfied. We both had the Lagniappe chicken salad. Tender Cajun chicken on top of fresh greens with hot bacon dressing. Each was large enough to share. Great taste to the chicken with... More

We still go to the Lagniappe as often as possible, and have been known to stop in sometimes several times a month and would more if not for the hour drive. Wait staff have become more like friends and we are always greeted by "Chef" when he is on the floor. As always, food is outstanding and Chef has done... More

Thank you to the several people who recommended this fantastic choice. Our server "Jess" was knowledgeable about the cuisine, had a great sense of humor, was attentive and added to the overall experience. My choice was the "Crawfish Étouffée" and my husband's was the "Seafood Bouillabaisse." Both of these were amazing. Appetizer was the charbroiled Oyster's on the half shell and... More
