Eric and Zack at the bar do a fine job of providing beer selections to match this consistently fine cajun food. Have eaten here weekly since mid June and have been consistently impressed with the variety and quality of the food. A real find in Marquette.

This place felt very authentic. First, the restaurant was sub-street level, which gave it a kind of hidden mysterious feel. Then, when we sat down I saw the "wheel of death" which contained about 8 different Louisiana hot sauces. I was in heaven. Finally, we tasted some local brews and had an unbelievable meal. Jambalaya and shrimp appetizer were really,... More

Geez, I wish that had Cajun food this good back in Detroit. Had to go all the way to the UP to get Louisiana food this good. Who would have thought? Very fun pleasant lively atmosphere with good drinks and great food.

SHOCKED to find this place. In the Youper!?! An incredible treat. Loved it the moment I walked in, immediately felt like i was in New Orleans. Then they blew me away with the food. Wow! Authentic and perfectly prepared. Will make that six hour drive again just to eat there. What a treat!

I've eaten here many times over the years and enjoy it every time. Gumbo, catfish, red beans & rice, crawfish etouffe, all very good. They even have Blackened Voodoo beer.

My first impression was excitement due to the buzzing atmosphere and the eclectic decor. Then when I started reading the menu, that's when the real excitement hit me. So many varied and interesting choices. Since my taste buds don't appreciate too spicy, I was a bit concerned it might be too much. Far from it. You can choose 7 levels... More

Went here in August while in town on business. I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch that day, so I had a real appetite. I ordered the "Big Mamou Platter".. fries, frog legs, catfish, shrimp, crawdad tails, coleslaw and 4 hush puppies. The fish was pretty tasty, frog legs were froggy (in a good way), the gosh puppies kicked butt and... More

great find, but no live gaters---good food, friendly staff. Nice to find this, so far from New Orleans.

Cajun chicken salad was great. Tried the boiled crawfish - very good. Owner even came to table to show us how to eat it as we had never had it before. Live band played while we had dinner. Will definitely go back!
