My family stopped here after exploring Pictured Rocks. Great flatbread pizza, amazing whitefish chowder! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Vierling serves a little different type of food but it's delightful! The bar is oak and looks very original. The back seating is just for eating and over looks Lake Superior. Beautiful! They are known for their whitefish gotten fresh daily from a local fish shop, homemade desserts. Very nice experience.

Had a great lunch here - tried the Whitefish sandwich - yum! A friend had recommended trying the Blueberry Wheat bear - and it was a terrific recommendation! Delicious! Just wish I would've been able to try more!

This might have been a drive by if it wasn't for the reviews on TripAdvisor. Inside was sooo cool. Great service, tasty beers, and a fantastic whitefish dinner made this place a great experience. We got arrayed in very back, with views of the lake. If we're back in town, this would be a must stop.

Two families with 11 of us stopped and enjoyed the beer flights, and lots of yummy food. Mahi mahi tacos were really good. Kids loved the key lime pie, strawberry shortcake, and peanut butter pie. Our server Lindsey was brand new but very helpful. We would definitely go back.

It's an easy walk from the Hampton Inn to Vierling's. It's a busy Friday night and we were seated at an awkward table in the middle of the floor, but the service was attentive. The Friday special was fried white fish, but the tartar sauce was a surprise. Created with dill it tasted slightly sweet almost like it had cinnamon,... More

Stopped for dinner. Seated immediately and server was prompt. Only complaint is the food but it was significant enough for a 3. Waited longer than expected....still okay, as we were enjoying our beers and conversation however when the pasta plates came out they had been under warmer for some time obviously and the Cajun chicken which was supposed to be... I've been waiting for almost 6 months to eat at the Vierling, and it lived up to and even exceeded my expectations. We got seated promptly, but I'd recommend reservations, if possible. Beautiful view from the window area, but we were seated in the center. The place is lovely, rustic looking, but a fine dining experience. My sister and I... More
