Good but not amazing

Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed. I'd heard such great things about Elizabeth's, perhaps I had built it up or because we ate there for lunch, it just wasn't as good. The food was better than average, but not spectacular. The view is wonderful and the staff is attentive and friendly. Lunch prices... read more

I had the KC steak and she had the blackened salmon......both outstanding. Great wine, great appetizer, wonderful service. Would definitely stop again.

We should have checked the prices before we were seated, but in the end it was a good meal. We sat in the conservatory at the back with views over the lake. We did not have a starter due to the prices, but when we ordered the mains they gave us starters for free (it was not busy!) The food... More

Interesting and tasty bread choices. Serving sizes were large, best corn chowder soup I've ever had. Prime Rib was served warm rather than hot. Desert portions were equally large - so much so that a couple could easily share. Outdoor seating (with great views) was chilly, but it was only May... still the end of the winter season in Marquette.... More

I was on a mine site visit at Eagle Mine and we met the staff here for dinner the night before. I had the heavily marbled aged steak, served on a warm Himalayan Salt Plate and was blown away. The entire dining experience was unexpected for a small town in the UP of Northern Michigan. This place would be right... More

We celebrated my nephew's graduation from NMU recently by dining with family and one of his friends at the Chop House. It was well-liked by everyone at the table and especially by my nephew, who had been living on $10 and rice & beans the last two weeks of his college career. We started off with a Bruschetta appetizer that... More

My friend and I went in for lunch today and had the pleasure of being waited on by Paden. He had fantastic wine recommendations and was very helpful and kind! We got the Garlic Chicken and it was delicious! We will be back again!

They have a very nice selections of fresh oysters you can have on the half shell or with Rockefeller, etc. They were delicious. I had the 14.0z ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection. The twice baked potato accompanying it was the seasoned twice bake from a whole potato, stuffed into a half potato shell. It was delicious as... More

If you like tough, tasteless, expensive steaks this is the place to go. The manager, to her credit, comped us a couple of drinks and a small portion off our meal but didn't seem engaged to our concerns at all. There are much better places to eat at in Marquette for far less money. Disappointed!

The atmosphere is really nice with great views outside. I ordered the Business lunch special for $20 that came with a soup, entree, side, and dessert. The lobster bisque was probably the best I've ever had but I was rather disappointed with the white fish. There was a surcharge for ordering the lobster bisque as my soup which was added... More
