Pricey Olive Garden

Made a reservation for 4 and were told to wait while "our table was prepared" as I scanned 6 empty 4 tops in the dining room. We spent $300 for the 4 of us: the bread basket consisted of old baguette that is passed off as "crisped"; lobster tempura that was actually vegetable tempura and two... read more

Read the reviews and was in town for one day and was my wife's birthday. Very neat atmosphere and with the birthday card waiting at out table, I was very impressed at first. Bread was hard and stale. One type of bread was good, we got more. Oyster Rockafeller was under cooked and every one that I had, had shell... More

Can't say enough how great the food and service are. Our steaks were done perfectly. One in our party has a food allergy. Her entree was modified to accommodate with delicious results. Tom has done Marquette proud.

Lunches are a good value, always good. Dinner is very good, Marquette's priciest, but reasonable. Lunch on the deck in the summer is nice.

Probably the most upscale atmosphere in town. The lunch menu is terrific. The dinner menu is mostly great but needs some tweaking. I had the Filet with scallops. The scallops were bitter due to the scorching of the olive oil used which made them taste bitter. For the price the bar charges for drinks the bartenders should free pour and... More

If you are looking for "big city" steakhouse fare a long way from the big city, you will find it here. Large pieces of seriously good quality meat prepared very well. All the standard steakhouse sides and salads, also very well done. Excellent service by a very well trained staff. All with a spectacular view of Marquette's Lower Harbor and... More

If you drive the Seeney Stretch across the UP in Michigan you need something to convince yourself that life IS worth living and to restore sanity. Elizabeth's Chop House did both in a town where I expected nothing much and where most other restaurants were early closers. . Comfortable and welcoming decor, a well thought out menu and a sound... The food was fabulous. I had tenderloin and grilled asparagus with a Caesar salad before. The bacon and feta chees dressing on the asparagus was something I had never eaten, and it was just the right compliment, and did not overpower the taste of the asparagus. The Tuxedo dessert was to die for! This restaurant is in a historical building... More

Excellent local fish, very good service, well-appointed facility. If weather allows, ask for a table on terrace overlooking Lake Superior.

There is a distinct lack of quality restaurants in Marquette, and I guess that is the reason why I keep visiting Elizabeths. They have a semi-interesting menu, with some real hits on it. The smoked duck salad is killer. The Himalayan Salt Block steak, incredible (albeit expensive)...yet other items fall vastly short of the price tag attached to them. The... More
