Should pay more attention to detail, my meal was ok. Came out late and cold!! The cost is high, it's ugly and I was hoping for so much more.

There a few restaurants on the leelanau peninsula that compare with la because. We have been coming to this area since 1982 and la because has consistently been a great experience. Yes, its expensive but worth the coin. Everything is wonderful but is THE place to splurge on dessert. The profiteroles are soooooo worth it! The house salad is always... More

Cozy and delicious. Genuine French cuisine, prepared by a young Parisian chef. Wonderful service, superb wine list. The chef took time to come and chat with us. A little pricey, but very well worth the visit.

The menu might not change often (though everything on it is solid) but whatever the chef is offering up for the evening, is what we order. Great food, with interesting, tastebud teasing flavors that make you question, "how do they do that?" in a great way!! And when we ask those questions, they always explain it well enough to make... Our entire experience at La Becasse was amazing from beginning to end. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy in a little cottage and makes for a perfect date night setting. The staff was amazing and treated us like royalty. Every item that we ordered was amazingly delicious and beautifully presented. While the prices are quite high, it is entirely... More

My husband and I have returned to LeBacasse again. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is top most and the food is spectacular.

Food was very good French cuisine. We dined during "restaurant week" which meant a 2 course dinner was $25 per person. I would say the meal was worth that price but the regular menu prices were higher and more than I would pay normally for such a restaurant.

This place has its act down perfectly. Behind the red velvet curtain not only lurks top quality food, but top of the line attitude. We were early for our dinner reservation, but seated promptly and left to sit for ten minutes which we thought was normal in a very busy place with us being early. The owner was horrified, apologize... More

Cute little "country French" place in the middle of nowhere, good word-of-mouth. We went midweek. Few diners, but e had to wait a very long time for our food. Wait staff were good. Wine & food very expensive. I was hoping for rabbit, maybe risotto, but we got whitefish, which is common around here. What disappointed me was the long... More
