Best of all in Manistique

The only thing they could do better is open a larger place to accommodate, expand their menu, and serve the needs of the area. We are in such bad need of a decent restaurant we are fortunate to have just one that is great. There are so few restaurants in the area that are worth any thing. This is... read more

They have a great variety of sandwiches to choose from. They have so many ingredients to choose from as well as types of bread. Their cookies and desserts look great too. I have had one of their cookies in the past and they were delicious. We had the Russian Reuben and both of us took half home. Their sandwiches are... More

We had a delicious chicken ranch wrap. It's big and delicious! The service was great and the view is wonderful too. It sits on the mouth of the Manistique River where it enters Lake Michigan.

Stopped here on the way to Sault Ste. Marie and glad we did. Sandwiches made to order, fresh bread and fresh ingredients make the Upper Crust worth the stop! Friendly staff. Grab a cookie to go!

If going through Manistique this is a must stop. Rated high for a reason and locals recommended as well. Turkey club on grilled pumpernickel is fantastic but many others looked great as well. Will stop again when in area.

We were on a coach tour with Country Travelers Discovery. They took us here for a catered dinner. The restaurant is not normally open for dinner, but from the signs it looks as if they have a very good luncheon menu. Our dinner was served buffet style and had a very good selection of dishes -- all very tasty. This... More

This is a nice airy fresh-feeling lunch-type restaurant that you could find anywhere. It's on the harbor but there isn't much to see. This is not a northern Michigan-type restaurant - no stuffed deer heads. Good food, sandwiches and salads. It's disappointing that it isn't located in the declining downtown. If all the businesses move out there'll be nothing left.

Thank you for your review of our restaurant. When our business was built in 1999, there were no vacant storefronts in Manistique, so our options for building or buying downtown were very limited. We do try our hardest to make the environment for our customers pleasant, clean & the view from our dining room to the harbor and Lake Michigan... More

I can see why the place was busy. They offer a great selection of unique sandwiches with a choice of breads. The soup was exceptional. The deserts looked wonderful, but no one had room to try one. You won't be disappointed.

What fabulous gem. The soup was delicious, the sandwich left me wanting a loaf to take home and am in love with the oyster crackers.

Great selection of sandwiches that never disappoint! I tried the Tuna Melt for the first time & it was delicious. Not your momma's tuna sandwich. My usual is Fanny's Favorite.
